Is blue called 'Blue' or 'Indigo' in English? Is blue called 'Blue' or 'Indigo' in English? The real answer was: What is blue called Blue or Indigo in English? I used to think the two colors were the same. A few days ago I found out that the two colors are different. Blue means blue. And Indigo means purple blue

 How is this purple blue again?

 See if the difference can be made. I knew two different colors but couldn't tell the difference
