Introduction: A hard-working street-cleaner is a better man than a lazy scholar. ”- (wise Einstein)
From the nucleus to the building, labor is at the root of every creation of world civilization. From birth to death, all the work of this world food, clothing, shelter, education, medicine যাeverything that is visible is acquired through labor. The Holy Qur'an declares, "Laisa lil insane illa ma satta." That is, there is nothing for man except labor. The knowledge of the wise, the astonishing discovery of the ignorant, the self-realization of the pious, the wealth of the rich, the victory in the battle of the warrior are all labored.
The importance or necessity of labor: "Man is the architect of his own fate." - Man himself is the creator of his own destiny. And this destiny has to be built by relentless labor. Human birth is subject to fate, but action is subject to man. The man who has made action the constant of life, his victory in the struggle of life. Action is the key to success. Hard work is the right sharpened tool of human beings. Labor is the only way to reach the golden peak of good fortune. From the creation of the world to the present civilization, labor is acting as a regulator in every field. Human life is eternally active. He has to survive by fighting many hostile environments. For this he has to work continuously. So, the world is a workshop and life is a field of hard work.
Virgil says,
“The dignity of labor makes a man self-confident and highly ambitious. So, the evaluation of labor is essential. "
So success is in labor, happiness is in labor, life is in labor. We are all laborers.
Seeing the neglect and contempt of the upper castes of the society towards the workers, the poet of the time declared in a loud voice-
‘I am as much a blacksmith as a poet, a laborer on the ground.
I am as vulgar as a poet. '
Man is a mortal being but through action he can become immortal. It is the deeds of today's people that inspire the people of tomorrow to do new deeds, new welfare and new progress. So people live not only in life, they live in the power of labor. And it is labor that makes man immortal. That is why the famous writer Maxim Gorky said-
"There is nothing better in the world than the heroism of labor and creation.
" Types of labor: Labor is generally divided into two parts.
Such as:
(1) Human labor
(2) Physical labor.
The importance of both these types of labor is immense.
Mental labor: Mental improvement is not possible without mental labor. As the saying goes- ‘The lazy brain is the devil’s factory.’ Suchinta and goodwill never arise in the mind of a laborless person. On the other hand, the mind and brain of a hardworking person are always away from bad thoughts. The work of scientists, philosophers, writers, physicians, economists, sociologists and artists is largely psychological. However, in order to make their mental labor a reality, they also do manual labor.
Physical labor or manual labor: All living beings in the world have to give more or less physical and mental labor to survive. Mental labor gives rise to a work and physical labor or solves it. The Creator has given us limbs for physical labor. Physical labor is not the opposite of self-esteem but the main way to gain establishment in society. Farmers, laborers, porters, laborers - they embark on physical labor with the great responsibility of protecting the country and the nation. That is why the poet Nazrul Islam has saluted them-
“Labor-Kinank-hard whose ruthless fists-under
Terrified earth gives gifts and flowers bloom. ”The usefulness of labor in student life in personal life: Labor not only makes the life of the community beautiful and glorious, but its importance in personal life is deep and wide. The curse of ugliness descends on the life of the lazy and laborless. In the guilt of various failures, he is disrespected and humiliated step by step. The normal progress of his life.
Dignity of labor in our country: It is sad but true that there is a kind of contempt and hatred towards manual labor in our country. As a result, a large part of the educated society has moved away from manual labor. They are unemployed despite extreme unemployment and financial hardship. And because of this unemployment, we are lagging behind in our national development and progress day by day. Therefore, in order to make life, country and nation successful and prosperous, one should avoid labor-aversion.
The Dignity of Labor in Islam: Our Prophet (pbuh) placed special emphasis on hard work. He himself has taken part in various activities with the workers. He has established the dignity of labor and workers by instructing them to pay their wages even before the sweat of their bodies dries up. Workers Harassment: People at the highest levels of society, they are doing work of honor, work of glory. By seizing all the facilities of the society, they have thrown the so-called lower class people into the intense darkness of humiliation and deprivation. But those workers have always sown seeds in the river banks and grown ripe paddy. They tore the breast of the earth and reaped the harvest of gold.
“Weavers sit and weave looms, catch fish, Their diverse workload extends far and wide The whole world is going on after that. "
But they did not get the respect of the right people. Example of a hardworking person: Relentless work is the reason for the life and success of world class people and thinkers. Brilliant examples of personalities like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, scientist Einstein. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the founder of Islam, was a hard worker. He says-
"There is nothing more sacred than working with one's own hands." Abstinence from labor: Abstinence from labor and laziness brings a terrible curse in life. Failure surrounds the laborless life like an octopus. In words ‘Laziness brings poverty, Sin brings sorrow. Hard work brings wealth, Happiness comes from virtue. ' This is indisputably true. The person who despises labor has no experience of labor, his life has no value. The famous scholar Carlyle said,
‘I respect only two natures. The first is the farmer and the second is the one who is engaged in the practice of knowledge. So only fools despise labor. Conclusion: ‘Labor is the mother of good fortune.’ The glory of labor is proclaimed today
. The desired success, status and perfection is achieved in life only through labor force. Man has occupied the seat of excellence in the living world by achieving success in relentless labor. So there is no easy way other than labor to keep life normal. And so it is necessary to respect labor, both personally and ethnically. Poet Akshay Kumar Baral in his ‘Manab-Bandana’ salutes all working people from the beginning of civilization to the present day-
"Moisture agro-fiber, architect, woodpecker, work, tanner!"
they are main hero of civilization
