160 gold bars have been recovered from a Bangladesh Biman flight from Dubai at Shah Amanat Airport in Chittagong. Customs officials on Thursday morning recovered the abandoned bars from under the seat of the aircraft, said Farhad Hossain Khan, the airport's managing wing commander.
He told bdnews24.com that Bangladesh Biman's BG-148 flight from Dubai landed at Shah Amanat at 8:05 am.
"On the basis of secret information, the customs officials along with the airport authorities conducted a search on the flight. There, 160 gold bars were recovered from under the passenger seats. "
No one could be arrested in the incident. The airport manager could not immediately be reached for comment.
