[] Amal to do something for the dead person :

Below I will mention some of the deeds by which the dead person will benefit but he did not perform these deeds .

(1) Muslims' supplication for the deceased and asking Allah for forgiveness for him: - There are many documents in this regard in Quran and Hadith. . Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning)

: • They (the believers) say: "Our Lord! Forgive us and those who believed before us." And do not harbor any malice in our hearts against the believers. ” (Surah Hashr 10) .

Allah Ta'ala teaches the method of supplication for dead or living parents and believers: •

“O our Lord! Forgive me, my parents and all the believers on the Day of Resurrection. ” (Surah Ibrahim 41)

. Besides, Allah Almighty, while teaching the special rules of supplication for parents, said: • “And you say, O my Lord! Have mercy on them both, as they brought me up when I was a child. ” (Surah Bani Isra'il 24) .

Parents will leave children who will pray for them. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said in a hadeeth narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allaah be pleased with him): ﺫ ﺫ Meaning: When a person dies, all his deeds are stopped, but 3 deeds are not stopped.

1. In charity .

2. The knowledge by which one can benefit .

3. A good child who prays for him. [Sahih Muslim 4310] .

Of all the documents in the hadith, the one narrated by Uthman bin Affan (R) in Abu Dawood is particularly noteworthy. .

# Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to stand beside the grave of a dead person after burying him and say, Will be. ”

. So it is sunnat to stand by the grave of a dead person for a while and make it easy for him to answer questions, to make Doa to be able to answer questions.

"" O Allah! Forgive him, O Allah, keep him (during the question and answer). "

. Besides, all the duas mentioned in the hadith regarding visiting graves prove that if one prays for a dead person, he will benefit through that dua. Basically, the janaza prayer is a dua for the dead person from the beginning to the end.

. (2) Fasting on behalf of the deceased: However, in this case, the purpose of fasting is obligatory and vow. There is no evidence from him to observe naafil fast. .

The proof of the validity of fasting on behalf of the deceased is: It is narrated on the authority of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: [Sahih Bukhari: 1952, Muslim 13/26, H. 1148) (Modern Publication: 1812, Islamic Foundation: 1825] .

# Narrated from Ayesha (R). He said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever dies while fasting is obligatory on him. But his heirs will fast on his behalf. ” (Bukhari and Muslim) . If the parents make up the fast and make a vow to fast, the child will fulfill it on his behalf. . It is narrated on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him)

: # A woman made a vow to fast, but she died before she could fulfill it. Then his brother came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and said, 'Fast on his behalf.' [Sahih Ibn Hibban 260] .

(3) Performing Hajj on behalf of the deceased .

Hajj on behalf of the dead person will be performed and the dead person will benefit. .

It is narrated on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him):

A woman from the tribe of Zuhaina came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said, "O Messenger of Allah, my mother vowed to perform Hajj, but she died without performing Hajj."

Now can I perform Hajj on his behalf?

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “Perform Hajj on behalf of your mother. Do you think that if you had a debt to your mother, you would not repay it? So do it for the sake of Allah. Because it is more useful to pay the demands of Allah. " [Sahih Bukhari 1852] . However, the condition for a person who wants to perform Hajj on behalf of his parents is that he has to perform his Hajj first. . (4) Repayment of loan: . If there is any debt of the parents, it is especially the duty of the children to repay it quickly. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) attached special importance to repaying debts. . The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said in a hadeeth narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allaah be pleased with him): # ‘‘ The soul of the believer remains attached to his debt; As long as it is paid for by him. " [Sunan Ibn Majah 2413] . The way to paradise is blocked due to non-payment of debts; Even if he is a martyr in the way of Allah. . There is more in the hadith, # The servant will not be able to enter Paradise until the debt is paid. [Nasai 6/314; Tabarani Phil Kabir 19/248; Mustadrake Hakim 2/29] . (5) To continue the good deeds of the parents: . Arranging for the children to continue the good deeds that they have done as children, such as building mosques, madrasas, and religious educational institutions. Because the rewards of these good deeds are added to their diary. . It has been narrated in Hadith, # "The one who guides to good deeds will get the same reward as the one who performs it." [Sunan Attirmizi 260] . # The person who started the good work of Islam will get the same reward as the one who did it. But there will be no reduction in their rewards. [Sahih Muslim 2396]

(6) Visiting graves: . The child will visit the grave of his parents. This will benefit both the child and the parent. . In this regard, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

# I forbade you to visit the grave, then you are allowed to visit the grave of Muhammad's mother. Now visit the grave, for it reminds you of the Hereafter [Sunan Tirmidhi 1054] .

# Pray, because it reminds you of the Hereafter. [Sunan Tirmidhi 1054] .

Visiting graves cannot be fixed on any particular day. When visiting the grave, say, # Peace be upon you, believer-Muslim. We will surely meet you. We ask God for forgiveness for you and for us. [Sunan Ibn Majah 1548] .

(6) To stop any sinful deed . If the parents decide to commit a sin while they are still alive, they will stop it or amend it according to the Shariah. . Because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said in a hadeeth narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allaah be pleased with him): # And whoever invites people to sin, the same sin of the one who performs it will continue to be added to his record. But there will be no reduction from their sins. " [Sahih Muslim 6970] . (6) Apology from parents .

If the parents have mistreated someone while they are alive, or if they have wronged someone, or if they have hurt someone, the parents will apologize to them or compensate them. .

Because it is mentioned in the hadith, # Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Do you know who the poor person is?"

The Companions said, "Those of us who do not have wealth are poor people."

Then he said, "He is the poorest of my ummah who will bring prayers, fasting and zakat on the Day of Resurrection, while he has insulted such and such, slandered such and such, swallowed people's property unjustly, shed human blood and beaten others."

Therefore, these oppressed people will be given their good deeds on that day. And he will be cast into hell. [Sunan at-Tirmidhi 2428] .

So it is the duty of the child to seek forgiveness from his rightful heirs in order to free such a poor person. . May Allah grant us the tawfiq to do deeds for our parents and other dead relatives. : It is to be noted that in our society the kalema khatam nan is done with the intention of sending thawab to the deceased which is not proved by sahih hadith. So avoid these bidati amal. Sunnat amals are given with sahih documents.
