1st quiestion is always come that why anyone love pet like cat?????
in my thinking that animals is a great gift of god..in America all house has a cat and dogs, when any man love pet she know that what is the love for animals...
Many of you have heard, that cretan animal welfarers are confronted with outrageous dafamations, that threaten the charge and closure of several important animal shelters and individuals. Since the main allegation seems to concentrate on the fact, that welfarerers give rescued animals into the hands of cat-eating, dog-torturing and money-making animal hoarders,
IT IS TIME FOR US ADOPTERS TO SPEAK UP!
I am adressing this to everyone, who adopted or helped to adopt animals to outside of Greece. I URGE you, all of you who will not tolerate that animal haters on Crete will succeed in shutting down our most important shelters and welfarers, to HELP!!!!!!
WE WILL GO VIRAL!!!!!!
Many of you have offered to help the denounced individuals or teams by sending statements and fotos of your adopted animals to authoritiews or for public sharing. Send me a private Message with your favorite foto of you and your animal(s), and write a short text, where you got it from, and who helped you how.
No matter what language, I will translate all into english-
We will create a video, showing hopefully hundreds of people who treat their animals with love and respect. Exactly what they have been denied during their time on Crete.
Forget old rivalries now, no matter who helped you- this MUST be pan-cretan thing or it will be no good at all...
!!! DEMI IS LOOKING FOR HIS FUREVER HOME !!!
Demi is one of the two strays (Tommy is the other) that we found together and rescued on our Greece rescue mission in August 2021. He is very very sweet and just wants pets all day follows his foster parents around like a shadow. He is showing some signs of separation anxiety and barks when left alone, but remember - this life is new to him and we are sure with stability and a routine, this will be a thing of the past! He is working on housebreaking and leash training with his foster family and is doing remarkably well for a dog that has probably been a stray most of this life. True to his breed(s) - English Setter (possibly mixed) - he does exhibit high prey drive towards birds and bunnies so we are looking for a home with no small animals for this boy! His foster mom says he might learn to be okay around a cat since they are bigger but it's something that will need slow and proper introductions to be sure.
When he excited he gets a bit bouncy but his foster mom is teaching him that he gets more love and attention when he does a good sit vs. Jumping. He is one smart cookie too - he can sit almost fully on command now, especially for a treat. He is not destructive at all and is very easily redirected which will be important to reinforce especially on nature walks where there are plenty of birds and little critters in sight. He is currently in a foster home with two other dogs and has shown no resource guarding and is getting along great with the other dogs. His foster mom says he does like to push in front to get the attention though, probably because he has been so starved of love and affection. Awww Demi! During walks, he sometimes pulls toward a dog walking by but you can tell he is just excited and wants to meet them! Given his gentle nature and love for all hoomans, he would probably be good with kids since the more people to give him atention the better in his opinion, however older children households are preferred as he is still very excitable and jumpy!
