A Special Place

Being in contact with nature is one of the most rewarding and pleasant experiences that can be experienced. Being away from the noise and pollution of cities to plunge into the depths of a harmonious landscape, caressed by the breeze of the air or the sound of birds is unmatched. Perhaps many have heard of this place, but for those who do not, do it here.

Located in the province of Pinar del Rio, Cuba. Viñales is a special place, where flora and fauna come together to captivate the viewer. There we can find a country landscape where the so-called “mogotes” (a type of mountain) stand out over any other geological formation present, which is commonly called the “Viñales Valley”. The place is a large influx of tourists who come to the territory to vacation and to find peace and tranquility in the depths of nature.

Many are the attractions of this place, including the so-called "Prehistory Mural" where its drawings on a large mogote stand out and where many people come to take a pleasant memory, an unforgettable moment and in turn, understand history through art.

But if we continue venturing into the place, we will be able to reach places like "La Cueva del Indio", a memory of the first Cuban aborigines, where we will have the opportunity to take a boat ride inside the cave, where we can observe various geological structures and maybe experience a little adrenaline rush.

Or maybe you want to go to the "Palenque de los Cimarrones", where you will learn about the customs of the Cuban aborigines and many instruments used by them, in other words: a trip to the past. The "cimarrones" were a group of people with African ascendancy that lived in Cuba during the Spain domain in the island.And the word Palenque refers to the place where they lived.

But if all that is not enough, you may want to do a bit of hiking, horseback riding, smoke a tobacco or interact with the rural population of this place.
