*John 14:12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.*

You would think that you can do good work than the Lord Jesus Christ just like some pastors do, even the Apostle Paul that has preached more than Lord Jesus but he can't ever be great like Lord Jesus Christ

Time is what Jesus Christ mean in that you can do further than him in the above verse, not that you can be greater than him

The theif on the cross didn't have much time to sing praise to the Lord of which singing praises is greater in front of God

*Psalms 92:1  It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:*

The faith of the thief is sufficient for him to be saved because of the present situation, because he didn't have much time but if that thief is given another he would surely do good work said Bro. Eli

*2 Timothy 3:17  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.*

Doing good work is not filthy in the eyes of God and you can't do it alone, you have to do it with God

*Philippians 2:13  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.*

To do the good work, you have to be with God and God would be with you

*John 15:5, 15  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.*

How can someone now say our good work is like filthy rag when we do it with God?
