It is untoward for a Christian either way to leave the dwell. They must dwell together, be together according to the Bible
1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
If you are giving honour to your wife as a weaker vessel, you would not just leave her. Wife is a weaker vessel that need protection of her husband
Ephesians 5:23-25 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
As Christ did not leave the church so you must not leave each other. Even when Christ was going to heaven, he promised church that he would never leave them till the end of the world
Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
But if the one party is an unbeliever, then it is not by force to be together in such cases
1 Corinthians 7:15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
