We live in a world where people are willing to take advantage of opportunities. Just because King David was becoming vegetable and vulnerably weak, Adonijah, one of the sons of David ran to the streets, mobilised some silly gullible folks and declared himself as king. As a veteran and self styled impostor, he secured the endorsement of Joab and Abiathar the Priest. Nathan the prophet and the mighty men in his father's government were sidelined. He threw a party and probably began to work on his cabinet list. Suddenly, the incumbent King heard about the felony moves and pressed the red button to stop Adonijah's suicidal outing!
He gave a directive that Solomon be inaugurated to ascend the throne immediately! Many people think it is unnecessary to allow God to determine their promotion. They go all out to play the devil's script. You may be ambitious in the positive way but don't be caught in a desperate attempt to scuttle a divine purpose. The life of a man does not consist in the abundance of what he possesses. Keep your head under the canopy of grace and watch until your design of honour is done on your canvas of destiny. Any colour you apply from your desperate mind is capable of distorting God's eternal plan for you and your future seed! Adonijah rose and fell in the most shameful way that his likes are falling today with unprecedented losses!
Watch out and keep off from negatively ambitious people whose ministry is to steal, kill and destroy. They are satan's extended family members, no matter how nice they may look! Father, keep me away from the friends and folks with the spirit of Adonijah who have been programmed to strike at the slightest opportunity.
When the future of a generation is cloned by modern media!
New media is the information and communication platform which enables user interface in the sharing of audio notes, video clips, pictures, posters and other information contents. The 'modern beast' called new media guarantee an unrestrained access to different categories of information, either controlled or classified. Today's generation is being subtly cloned by the cut and paste culture made possible by the new media, often times without a fact check. Most cultural walls of decency and dignity have been demolished by the internet. Some parents may have to fumigate the minds of their children especially because of moral infections they may have contracted from lewd musicals and sordid soap operas!
I agree with intelligent gate keeping of the use of IT resources. Nevertheless, as some set of leaders are absurdly planning to 'control new media excesses', a frontliner nation is launching 6G into the orbit. The world has left many nations in the jungle of stone age leadership. The real issue is about rethinking our education system that will enable the next generation maximise their technology to build a future of proven and sustainable development realities. Cross fertilization of ideas will readily fortify our identity as a force to be reckoned in technologies development. We can assist the next generation to shift from getting cloned by carbon of lawlessness to a creative way of making technology work for the positives just like the AI and Robotics centre initiative. To raise a new set of people to drive the new media, godly values must be rooted, epitomised and rewarded by the present crop of leaders who have benefited from the new media before it begins to look like a melon shell that mustn't be sighted at dawn!
