The Cointiply Chat Rain Pool - How It Works & How To Make The Most Out Of It.

Hi everyone!

Cointiply is probably the best Bitcoin faucet out there with about half a dozen ways to stack sats every day. Among faucet claims, surveys and PTC ads, the Chat Rain Pool is probably the least understood and most underrated way to increase your earnings on the site.

Maybe, like me at the beginning, you weren't giving much attention to the Chat and the Chat Rain Pool, and/or you were not sure how it worked. The way the Chat Rain Pool works is not very intuitive and can discourage the new comers. But once you know how it works, you won't be able to live without it.

Thanks to the Halloween Special Bonus Cointiply ran back in October 2020, I took a closer look at the Rain Pool. Two weeks later, I was hooked! This might as well be the best coin maker machine of the entire website - you can earn hundreds of coins per hour for less than 3 seconds of effort. If you're not sure how the Rain Pool works or have never thought about it, let me explain to you what it is.

The Chat Rain Pool

The Chat Rain Pool offers Cointiply users to possibility to earn extra coins about every 30 minutes, all day long, every day. Depending on a few factors, correlated to your activity on the site and the number of participants to each pool, you can earn up to several thousands of coins every pool!

The Chat Rain pool is located on the top left part of your Cointiply page, right there with your profile info and other important tabs (faucet, earn coins, Cointivity profile, etc...).

Click on the "Start Chatting" button to open the chat. You can resize, enlarge and move the chat if needed.

Qualifying for the rain pool is much easier than it use to be (you used to need to write a sentence or two in the chat). Now you only have to click the "Click to Qualify for Rain Pool", then "Understand" in the pop-up window.

The light next to "Current Rain Pool" should turn green and your share of the pool appears (sometime with some delay, and sometimes it lags at 0.00 for some time). But it is a simple as that, about 3 seconds total, you're in the pool! Your share of the pool, expressed in %, is now displayed under the pool amount. In the example below, I'm in for 0.07% of a 12,492 coins.

If the "rain" were to fall down now, each participant would get some coins equal to their share of the pool, I would earn about 9 coins. As I'll explain below, these numbers always evolve following a few factors.

When the pool is done, it rains (or rather snows, since December 2020), every qualified participants get their share and the pool restart at 0. You need to requalify for the next pool.

How Does The Pool Work?

The pool itself

The Rain Pool is a representation of the activity of all Cointiply users at any given time. Every time a user completes an offer (video, app download, survey, etc...) a few coins are set aside for the pool. Think about it as a kind of automatic tip for the community.

Donations made in the chat also increase the total value of the pool but don't affect the size of your share.

Until the rain comes and reward all qualified participants, the pool keeps growing. The drop of water on the left fills up gradually and gives you a rough estimate of how full (and ready to rain) the current pool is.

If you qualify for a pool too close to the end, your light will be green and your share will display 0.00% but it won't increase. It may takes a few minutes for the pool to rain and your share will be stuck at 0.00. In this case you'll need to requalify right away for the next pool and, hopefully, a value for your share will be displayed.

Your share

As much as the size of the pool matters, the size of your share matters even more. For any given pool, your share is always proportional to two following parameters:

  • The number of qualified participants. The more participants, the smaller your share.

  • Your contribution to Cointiply. The more offers you complete, the larger your share. Every one's contribution is reset every 24h, everyone start back at zero at 0 UTC.

Thus, pool after pool, your share is constantly evolving. As more users qualify for a pool, your share will go down. It's very common, if you are among the first to qualify for a new pool to start with a share of 5%, for example, that will quickly decrease to a more reasonable 0.5% after 5-10 minutes. If you are actively completing surveys, your share can actually go up during a same pool.

Each Rain Pool session lasts about 30 minutes. When a pool is over, it resumes to zero for everyone, it's another chance to participate and get the biggest share you can. When a pool ends, if your share was 1.32% and the total number of coins in the pool was 13,245, you will earn 174 coins directly credited to your account.

Depending on the state of pool, the number of qualified participants (which is not the number of "Users Online" but the actual number of users who qualified for the pool), your activity on Cointiply so far that day, etc... your share can be almost any number. As low as 0.02% if many users are already qualified, and as high as 50% if you are among the first to qualify for a given pool. Your share will adjust, down most likely, as time passes.

Growing & Maximizing Your Share of The Pool

Although very simple to qualify for since it only takes 2 clicks, if you don't click you won't receive any coins. Remember, these are "your coins" to start with, you contributed to it. If you don't claim them, you leave money on the table for some else to claim. Claiming as many Rain Pool as possible, especially if you are active on Cointiply, is an essential part of growing your bankroll.

Only claiming the faucet and doing a few PTC ads will only get you a few coins with shares usually in the 0.02-0.1% range. Completing surveys and offers can earn you a few percent of each pool and up to thousands of coins on large pools. Repeat this 20x per day, a few days a week and that's quite a large amount of coins at the end of the month. During special events, like the recent Spring Special and its large Rain Pools, it's really worth the effort. I made up to 26,000 coins in Rain Pools on the last day of the special with shares as high as 4,600 coins.

Completing offers and, mostly, surveys is the most efficient way to increase the size of your shares. Without completing any offers your share will never be larger than ~0.1% on average and you'll only earn 5-20 coins per pool.

Completing a lot of surveys, for 10k coins or more for instance, is likely to net you share in the single digit percent. If you are completing a lot of offers/surveys you really want to take advantage of as many Char Rain Pool as possible.

Given how the Chat Rain Pool works, here is a few tips to optimize your returns:

  • If your time zone allows, start the Cointiply day with as many offers/surveys as possible. Your shares will start strong and you will reap the rewards all day long (although the size of your shares will decrease through out the day as more qualified users complete more offers).

  • While complete surveys is always the most profitable way to earn coins on Cointiply, if you complete surveys at 10pm UTC you won't be able to capitalize on the Chat Rain Pool. At 0 UTC everything is reset.

  • Be diligent to qualify for the pool. Pools usually last every 20-40 minutes and it's not always easy to time. Claiming your shares of the Rain Pool is often better than the faucet, especially if you have completed a lot of surveys you can rake hundreds of coins every pool.

  • If you are about to redeem a big offer, such as reaching a level at a game, or redeeming some points from video partner like Hideout.tv, try your best to do so just at the beginning of a new Cointiply day. Your first shares will be enormous compared to any other users as you just contributes a large chunk of coins to Cointiply.

  • Finally, during Cointiply specials, like the Halloween, Christmas and Spring ones recently, Chat Rain Pools are very large (easily up to 100,000). You can really get massive shares (see above). You really don't want to miss them!

Come and join the pool! Getting a share is easier than ever and it doesn't take any extra time.
