Now the video is on Bitchute, and it is created by Alex Jones, that most yellow of yellow journalists, so I HOPE it is highly exaggerated to the point of being mostly false. But is it? Is Mr. Jones actually telling (some) of the truth? Some of y'all here are from South Africa, and you have complained about how the Covid lockdowns are causing distress in your country. Is Alex Jones correct? Are people so hungry and desperate now that they are openly rioting? God help us if even 10% of the craziness Alex Jones spews out is correct!

Rambles and I are in the Western Cape, away from the riots luckily. Actually most South Africans I know on Noise are in the Western Cape, interestingly...

I'm in South Africa. Yes, the rioting and looting is that bad, but it's mostly contained in two of our 9 provinces right now - it's not right across the country. People aren't rioting and looting because they're hungry. Our people have always been hungry, with a very high unemployment rate and 80% of our people living in poverty (in shacks). This lawlessness started with protests when our ex president was convicted and sentenced to jail time, but refused to go. His supporters started protesting. Others saw an opportunity and joined in, and now it's got nothing to do with Jacob Zuma and everything to do with causing chaos and getting free stuff. The army has been called in to assist the police today.
Alex Jones misrepresenting events again. How shocking! That sounds pretty tense. I hope things settle down there quickly, and few, if any, people are seriously hurt. Thanks for your reply! Stay safe over there!
Thanks OldBastard! Unfortunately many have been seriously hurt, and many small business owners won't recover from the torching and looting of their stores. We're keeping an eye on signs of unrest in the other provinces...
JustMyRambles01 was predicting something like this was going to happen in South Africa, but for other reasons as I remember. But if she ever joins in I'll let her speak for herself.
Yeah, she's been talking about the country reaching a boiling point, and I think this is it. It's incredibly sad and disheartening.
