Self Leadership.

A lot has been said about leadership and we all have that inherent trait in us to lead. Leadership is not a family title and not fixed for a particular set of people. The capacity we lead varies and the exposure differs but we all have that trait in us but most of the time we don't know and we leave certain decisions for others to make forgetting we are to effect changes on our own.

Your leadership ability is more about the impact you are making rather than the position you are holding. I am sure if anyone had the chance to ask Steve Jobs before he died what he thinks about Apple, he wouldn't tell you they are selling phones, he would rather focus on how they are making life easier and bringing technology closer to people. You are not a leader until you take the focus off your position and focus on the lives you are supposed to shape - help to discover themselves and achieve a common goal.

Those who try to make a difference will always be needed which is why we need to solve problems rather than go with the flow of things. We need to be creative and think outside the box. I always tell people that I find it offensive when we ask our children what they want to be in life. I would rather want them to be asked "What problem do you want to solve in the world?". This simple question will give them a shift in perspective and know they are not to get by but they are a leader within their rights. The world is for problem solvers and if you are not solving a problem, you are adding to the existing problem.

We don't always know what we are capable of doing until we are asked to do those things. Leadership will expose us to do the things we never thought was possible before. Don't place a limit on yourself and always remember that with great power comes great responsibility. You need to be ready and not let down those who are counting on you.

As a leader, you cannot afford to allow your emotions to get the best of you. You will be required to make tough decisions that most would naturally run away from. Be rational with your decisions and don't make decisions based on the pressure but learn to take your time and still achieve what you are expected to. A leader is a value adder and that is what makes you indispensable and desirable to others.

Leaders are not born but they are made and you must have a burning desire in your heart that would bring about the leadership traits in you. You need discipline and you must give yourself to continuous learning.

You might ask, are we all born to be a leader? At least we will have to sometimes play an understudy to someone. That's true and even if you are following someone, you can lead from behind. It is your desire and quest for knowledge that would make you noticeable and allow things to be committed into your hands. No one will follow a leader that doesn't even know where he or she is going - vision, goals and passion.

A lot has been said about leadership but if anyone asks me I would say that leadership is an attitude. If you take on the attitude of leadership your drive and quest for knowledge cannot be contained. It is more like a goldfish that cannot be hidden for too long.

As a leader, you need to help others fulfil their goals. While they are working to realize a common vision they still need to be able to realize their dreams. This is what got me drawn to Read.Cash. There is obviously a vision set out right from inception with rules and regulations guiding every user and while we are moving along with that common goal, we are creating a niche for ourselves and leading from where we are.

A lot of people have achieved their goals through this platform. I saw many people having a target of 1 Bitcoin Cash - that's a vision within a vision and I read of how someone said he was able to earn so much on Read.Cash that he bought landed property for himself. That's what leadership does to you - you lead from where you are despite being a part of another vision. I am forever grateful for the management of Read.Cash for the vision. A lot of people are better off as a result of this vision. Thank you, all.

Leadership is not about the people who sit at the upper end of a ladder - it is not a position but rather it is a spirit and we all need to spend time to develop ourselves. Charisma might get you to a place but your attitude will keep you there. Age doesn't confer the right to be a leader but the ability to learn, empathize, act and then dream. You must be able to build people and develop them just as you are planning and organizing.

A leader is different from a boss because a boss seems to know everything while a leader can also admit to his mistakes while seeking to do things better. A boss would tell you what to do and sometimes a leader will show you how is it done. A boss will criticize you and wash down the goodness in you but a leader will give you constructive criticism and also advise you on how to be better. A boss demands respect at all times and you see them trying to claim the bragging rights but a leader earns and deserves respect. When you see someone that thrives on hearsay, that's a boss because a leader would investigate and seek to know the truth.

I want to say my sincere gratitude to @MarcDeMesel for his kindness and generosity in the post I wrote here. You are a visionary leader, a leader who inspires others to grow and become better. A lot of us are having our dreams taking shape because of your humility, desires and leadership trait that wants to see everyone grow. You are the real MVP and thank you to all my sponsors. You make life so easy and the world can use more of your kind - selfless, loving, adorable and inspiring.

Thank you for your time.

Hi there. While reading your article, I came through this part, "Be rational with your decisions and don't make decisions based on the pressure but learn to take your time and still achieve what you are expected to." There I realized I have not been a good leader on myself. I mean, I am guilty on deciding because of the pressure and not on how rational it should be. I guess that is somehow the reason why I made mistakes most of the time. But thanks to this article of yours, that made me realize how to make own judgement and a good leader of ourselves and others.

I am so happy you found this helpful. Yes, we need to take a step back if need be just to think things through rather than making decisions with pressure.

I'm glad. Yes, we learn as we grow and go in life. Learning never stops...and having the attitude to learn and do better matters and you possess that.
