Hello everyone!! How are you all doing? This should be my 13th entry for this month; the month is prolonged now. Maybe it is because of the market. Things were looking great at the beginning of the month, but it seems to be going bearish now. Even though it is bearish now, don't lose hope in BCH because this coin will soon show us its power.

Anyway, this article isn't dedicated to BCH, but I am writing to enlighten you on a demon; we all know and do! You probably know what I am talking about through the topic of this article.

We lie daily, and no human on earth can say they haven't lied; anyone that said they haven't lied is probably lying too.

There are several reasons we tell lies, benefit ourselves, protect ourselves, cover up, and protect others.

When I say protect others I mean, lying so that you won't hurt other people's feelings, it may not be the best course of action, but I would rather be a liar than hurt someone's feelings.

Lying is wrong, and so many people have taken it to the extreme, even causing harm to others for their own benefit.

In this modern-day and age, fraud and cybercrime have become significant problems.

Many reports show how millions of people have been scammed by businesses that ran away with their money.

This is also the central problem in crypto because most times, new crypto comes out, it spikes high, causing people to buy. When they buy, the market comes crashing down, and they lose all their money while the owners run away with a ton of money. A story like this happened in South Africa, where two individuals stole 10million dollars from their investors and ran away.

I am trying to prove with this story that lying comes in various forms, and sometimes it is not easy to spot when someone is fake.

Fraud is a form of lying because it tricks people into losing all their money. Some may think defrauding a person is not harmful, but that can be the worst thing you would ever do to someone.

I can remember when my grandpa got scammed of his life savings, he got a heart attack and was in a coma for 3 months until he died. I was highly raged by this, but I couldn't do anything because the scammer had already disappeared and left no trace. We tried telling the police, but as usual, they were of no help.

Just because something benefits you doesn't mean you should do it; you are hurting another person in ways you don't know. My grandpa would still be alive if it weren't for those cursed scammers.

There are so many people out there that have falling victim to fraud and cyber-crime

Between April 2018 and March 2019, there were:

  • 741,123 crimes were reported to Action Fraud.

  • £2.2bn lost by victims.

  • 65% of reports were from businesses and 35% from individuals.

Source

Can you imagine? Between 2018 to 2019, the amount of money lost was 2.2billion; imagine how much they would have to steal from one person to get that sum of money. Even when they get the money, their greed grows, and they want even more money.

Instead of working like others, they end up stealing money from people who have worked hard for their income. The sad part here is most of the victims are older individuals who are more susceptible to being scammed.

There was one time they wanted to scam my grandma, I don't know if this guy was a newbie or maybe he was just stupid. He tells us he is from London, but he has an Indian accent. I am not trying to say Indians can't be in London, but the problem here was he told us he was from London, Mumbai.😂 Like, dude, if you are going to scam someone, at least use your brain. What the jelly is London, Mumbai.

We played with him for a long time, he got angry and started shouting on the phone. We laughed at him till he cut the call.

Fraud and scams are significant problems in our society today. Still, you can help stop this problem by following the necessary steps.

If you notice abnormal activity in your neighborhood, don't ignore it; call others to help you report them. Never keep shut because you never know the next victim, maybe someone you know or even you.

Don't be afraid to inform the police or security agencies because that is their job. To protect the citizens.

Be your brother's keeper, don't allow Fraudsters to roam freely, stealing others money. At the same time, their victims are left in debt, depression and despair.

Also, please don't follow what others are doing and partake in defrauding others.

Hurting people for your own benefit will never make you happy; it will only make you less human.

Thank you for reading; leave a comment, like and subscribe, and I will see you in the next one!
