Have you noticed that those who don't have much give more and most rich people give very little out of their abundance?
I've taken time to observe this and made a lot of discoveries, it's really not about having all the riches in the world, it's about having the heart to give.
You can have all the money in the world and still be stingy because you want to acquire more and more; but you can have very little and still give more than the rich.
Sometimes you give and give that people around will begin to even think you're rich but deep within you you are not
I remember an incident that took place at a press conference when Bill Gates was still the richest man in the world; a young man asked Bill Gates
"do you think there's someone richer than you?"
Bill answered "Yes, there's someone richer than I am"
Bill narrated a story about a newspaper vendor newe as an airport. According to him, he went to buy newspaper from the vendor, after glancing through the paper headlines he realized that he didn't have enough change to buy so he handed back the newspaper to the vendor, but the vendor offered him the paper for free
Another day, he ran into the same man almost the same spot, again he wanted to buy newspaper but he had no change, the man again, offered him the papers for free but he refused.
The vendor insisted, telling him not to worry that he already made some profit for the day. Bill took the papers and thanked the man
About three years later, after Bill had become rich and famous, he went in search of the man at his stand but couldn't find him. It took him about two months to finally find the man selling newspapers
Bill went to the man and asked him "do you know me?"
The vendor replied
"You're Bill Gates, the richest man in the world"
Bill asked again "do you remember the day you offered me papers for free?"
The vendor replied
"Yes, twice"
Bill got really excited that the vendor recognized him
"Ask whatever you want from me and I'll fulfil it"
"I don't need anything from you now, I helped you when I had nothing, but it took you three years to pay back after you've become so rich and famous. Your kindness can never measure mine because I gave out of my nothingness but now you want to give to me because you're richest man now, your kindness can never measure mine"
There and then, Bill Gates realized that the vendor was richer than him because no amount of his money could measure up to the man's kindness. What a lesson!
You don't need to be so rich or well to do to help someone, all you need is a good heart. Be kind to someone today
