If you've followed the news in the last three or four months now, there has been a lot of noise made about DNA tests on children to determine their true paternity.
DNA testing got popular and interesting after statistics released in 2020 showed that over 40 percent of DNA tests came out negative; the DNA of the children don't match with that of their fathers
The strange revelation got a lot of men scared, it shows how difficult it is for some women to be faithful even in marriage. Another case of infidelity happened recently which went viral on social media
A man identified as Tunde Thomas died of heart attack after his wife, Moyo Thomas told him that their two kids were fathered by her boss mr Adam Nuru who is the Managing director at First city monumant bank (FCMB) where she works.
According to other staff of the bank, Mrs Moyo had been having serious office romance with her boss for many years since she started working in the bank
The reason why Moyo cheated on her husband is what nobody can tell because Tunde was said to be a very nice guy who loved his wife and kids so much.
He was so attached to his wife that he refused her nothing he could afford, unbeknown unknown to him that his wife was having an affair with her boss in the office even to the extend of having kids for him
The whole secret was laid bare after Moyo suddenly resigned from FCMB and travelled shortly to the US with her kids during their school holidays
Tunde started asking questions after Moyo refused to come back with the children for them to resume school, that was when she summoned courage and told her husband, who loved and trusted her so much that her MD, Mr Nuru is the father of their children.
She went ahead and filed for asylum in the US against Tunde on the ground of domestic violence in Nigeria; just to get a green card and also get Tunde barred from entering the US
Out of shock, Tunde went down with stroke and later recovered. He tried to pick up pieces of his life and live his normal life but the memories of what Moyo did to him kept him down and helpless
When he finally decided to move on with his life, he started another relationship but his life was never the same as he was seen severally crying and soliloquizing sometimes.
He eventually fixed December 26th to visit the lady's people, but that never happened as he collapsed at his residence stair case on December 15th 2020. The autopsy results showed that he does of heart failure
Now, over 2,000 staff of the bank and other concerned individuals have signed for FCMB to investigate and sack Mr Adam if found guilty. Meanwhile, Moyo is still "at large" probably chilling in the US with her two kids
Now, my question is this:
Is it right for FCMB to sack Mr Adam?
How best do you think justice can be served in this case?
