This apparatus is called a sohxlet. it's actually a makeshift one but this kind of instrument doesn't use fire. it only uses light to produce a steady stream of steam and we use it to get waxes off of leaves before we run it through either distillation or extraction motivation to study: So you can work in the laboratory again
