I made it to work! I'm 2 minutes late but that's okay! I have a bus card now and now I need to figure out how I'll get home π π π but oh well. I just need to wake up earlier now or I should eat at home. Either way, I should really learn how to drive

Ms. Hanzell, do you really want to drive in Manilla? Iβve been driving for almost 50 years, and I refuse to drive out here in our remote province. I canβt even imagine driving in a city. These crazy folks on motorcycles zip in and out of traffic, seemingly not caring that one little bump will slam them into the pavement. Little kids cling on for dear life on the back of motorcycles, or walk on the side of the road inches away from speeding vehicles which could rob them of life or limb. I am more than happy to let someone else do the driving.
I'm on this point where I think driving a motorcycle is actually safer than riding a bike to work because bikes are easier to overlook than motorcycles. And I refuse to drive a car if I'll just get stuck in a traffic jam anyways. I actually want to make it to work on time and still enjoy my breakfast with my coworkers
Like many other things, driving a motorcycle is safe, until it is not. So please be careful! I wouldn't want to get nudged by a truck, even at a low speed.
I'd actually need that nudge by a truck right about now π€£π€£π€£ I don't want to ever commute anymore
I loved it when I was able to work from home during the early months of the Covid pandemic. I'm retired now, which is even better, but if I ever banged my head, went insane, and decided to go back to work, I would get another work-from-home job.
If only lab work could be done from home, then I would be really happy πππ but right now, commute is making my life a living hell and I think I'll be rich from all the overtimes I have to do
A two hour commute sucks! Do you have to work certain hours, or can you flex your schedule a bit to try to avoid peak commute times?
Sadly, we have fixed hours daily so I just have to deal with it πππ
Ugh. Don't you hate it when people tell you to just, "deal with it". I deal with cruddy things in my own way, namely, by bitching and moaning about them incessantly. It doesn't make them go away, but it makes me feel better. :-)
In my case, I just sleep it off because I swear, I need the sleep. I barely get 6 hours of sleep since this commute mandate too place
