Trolls And Grunts In Masses
Grunts, as we all know, are excellent hero killers with their standard assault.
Grunt, conservatively speaking, is the best unit in the game and will defeat all other units.
Grunt is a conservative unit, which is a concern. Theirs is not a ranged attack. Unlike trolls, it does not have auto-healing. It won't be able to hit the air. It's not a spellcasters' problem.
In maps with health fountains, I found grunts to be the greatest deal. Those are Lost Temples-style maps.
Build farseer quickly and grunt like crazy. Creep the center creeps near the fountain as quickly as possible.
Your grunt will now heal when creeping. Grunts will heal more faster in the fountain due to their high HP.
The normal assaults of Grunts work wonders on creeps with light armor.
So, before attacking the creeps with big armors, immediately dispose of the creeps with little armors.
You can start making trolls after you have enough grunts. You'll be able to quickly level up your Far Seer this way.
Grunts particularly shine when they're far away from the fountain. There's no need to entice thugs and such. Simply go after the creeps. Grunts have a low HP pool. When one of the grunts is going to die, simply relocate it to the fountain to be reused later.
Your grunt will now heal when creeping. Grunts will heal more faster in the fountain due to their high HP.
Once you have the earth quake, assault with all your might.
When required, retreat through the town portal.
Air units, of course, are the adversaries of grunts.
As a result, start massing trolls after around 6-8 grunts. The air unit will be taken care of by the trolls, while your grunts will deal with the troublesome hero and other ground troops.
In the middle of a combat, opponents usually focus on a variety of things. A strong earthquake near their farm would amplify the devastation even more.
When your base is under attack, go after the enemy's base. Every time Grunts collide with a building, they collect money. Also, with earthquakes, there's a good chance you'll cause more harm to them than they do to you.
