According to psychiatrists, misconceptions, unreasonable skepticism (delusions), unrealistic thinking, hallucinations, incoherent speech etc. are the symptoms of schizophrenia. And the long-term symptoms are apathy, inability to think, apathy, isolation.

Patients with schizophrenia develop a belief that has no basis. For example, many believe he is a great man. He has many abilities that make the impossible possible. Without any reason, someone believes that his own parents, husband, wife or any organization is trying to harm him. Trying to drive him crazy or kill him. The patient may find himself extremely important. Some misconceptions about religious beliefs are born in the patient. He considers himself endowed with divine power. One can suffer intense suspicion towards the husband or wife.

The patient sees some unreal scenes and thinks they are real. He can feel without any real touch that someone is touching him. There may be a feeling of stinging in the body. They speak inconsistently or are misunderstood.

The behavior of these patients is not normal. Sometimes completely silent, sometimes excessively moving or sometimes becoming aggressive. Clothing and oneself are unclean. Do not get encouraged in any work.

Many cannot have close relationships with anyone else, especially with the opposite sex and family members. Want to be alone.

What is the reason :

The exact cause of schizophrenia has not yet been discovered. However, schizophrenia can occur for a variety of reasons. In the case of an individual, one factor can do more. Again a number of factors can work together. If there is someone in the family, the risk of getting this disease is higher. If one of the parents has one, the risk of the child getting this disease is 18 percent. If both have, the risk of having a child is about 47 percent. Studies have shown that the brain is deficient in a certain amount of chemical elements and neurochemical elements are unbalanced. Even if there is any complication at birth, there is a risk of getting this disease.

Schizophrenia is more common in deprived families. If the mother is infected with influenza or rubella during pregnancy, the risk of developing the disease in the later life of the baby increases. Many people with schizophrenia have an increased tendency to commit suicide. The tendency to physically hurt others is created.

Schizophrenia is not a single disease, according to a team of researchers at the University of Washington in the United States. Rather a combination of eight different types of problems. According to them, this new type of explanation has opened new doors for the explanation of the disease. Dragon Svrakik, a psychologist at the university, said genes could not actually function independently. Rather, it disrupts the brain by working in unison. The result is schizophrenia.

Treatment :

Studies have shown that 25 percent of people with schizophrenia recover completely after treatment, while 50 percent are able to lead a healthy life through medication. The other 25 percent is never good. The safest way to do this is to continue the treatment as advised by the doctor or specialist. This is because in most cases the disease can be controlled by regular application of medication and adherence to a number of psychological techniques and advice.

There are two types of treatment for schizophrenia: medication and psychotherapy. Individual psychotherapy includes hallucination control, family therapy, communication training, stress control techniques etc. After a long time of recovery, if the medicine is stopped, the symptoms of the disease appear again. For this it is important to maintain the continuity of treatment under the supervision of a psychiatrist.

A patient with schizophrenia can live well, if he is treated properly. The role of family and society is important in this case.

Families with strong emotions have a higher rate of schizophrenia. It is very important not to stress, not to neglect and keep the patient free from worries. If he is on medication, check if he is taking medication properly, taking treatment or not. Socially, the hand of cooperation should be extended to the patient. It is not right to consider him crazy. It is not a contagious disease.

Schizophrenia was once called the cancer of psychiatry. It was said that it is not good. Such beliefs are still prevalent. Schizophrenia treatment in Bangladesh is not being conducted very well. As much as there is is limited to the application of drugs. That is not going well. This treatment has not yet reached the hands of doctors from the clutches of Kabiraj, Fakir and Onjha. Again, many do not understand that it is a disease. Many do not know where to get treatment. Those who know also know wrong. People become more crazy when they take drugs. As a result, schizophrenic patients suffer, are beaten, tortured and chained without treatment. If the treatment of schizophrenia patient is to be successful, the disease must be identified and treated at an early stage. In addition, social attitudes must be changed and the human rights of patients must be ensured.

Take appropriate treatment without panicking about schizophrenia.
