The 27-year-old is contracted to remain at Emirates Stadium until 2022, but it has been suggested that he could leave the club this summer.
Schalke are ready to pounce, but Aston Villa have also been linked with Martinez in recent weeks.

Valencia have approached Arsenal over a possible deal for Matteo Guendouzi - according to Super Deporte.
The Gunners are ready to listen to offers for the French midfielder, and the Spanish giants want to bring him in on loan for the duration of the 2020-21 season.

Juve are nearing an agreement to sign Rolando Mandragora from Udinese - according to Calcio Mercato.
The Bianconeri will commit to signing the 23-year-old for €26 million (£23m/$31m) next summer, before allowing him to see out the 2020-21 season at Stadio Friuli.
Mandragora still has three years left to run on his current contract at Udinese, but Juve are hoping that a deal will be finalised in the coming daym
