Is the boss in a bad mood today? Or do you have a quarrel with the person of your choice? If that's the case, find out what the temperature is for a day before you think of anything else. Recently, researchers say that if the temperature of the day is high, it is enough to calm the mood.

Excessive hot weather makes people feel bad, according to a study published last May in the European Journal of Social Psychology. People who are overheated do not want to help others and become intolerant.Liba Y. Belkin, a researcher at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, USA, and Miriam Kouchaki, a Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Illinois, conducted a total of three experiments. These experiments have tried to understand the effect of temperature on human emotions and behavior. In every test, the verdict was against the heat.

The first experiment used data from a 2010 research paper. That year there was a massive firestorm in Russia, and many shopping malls were deficient in air-conditioning. That study found that shopping mall workers became irritable due to excessive heat. They become less interested in cooperating with clients. According to estimates, interest was reduced by about 59 percent. However, other activities of the shopping mall were not disrupted. Only mutual human relations deteriorated.

A total of 160 people took part in the second test. They took part in a quiz on the internet. Before the quiz begins, half of the participants are given special instructions. That being said, let them imagine being in warm weather.

After the quiz was over, it was seen that those who were asked to imagine staying in warm weather gave less answers. These participants answered 44 percent of the questions and reported feeling tired and unhappy while answering the quiz. On the other hand, 6 percent of the questions were answered by people who thought about the general environment.

Researcher Liba Y. Belkin conducted the final test on 63 students at her university. He divided the students into two and took separate classes on the same subject. One room had a temperature of 26 degrees Celsius. And the other room was air-conditioned. At the end of the class, each student is asked to answer 100 questions.

The survey found that students in relatively warm rooms answered fewer questions. Students in the air-conditioned room answered an average of 35 questions. On the other hand, the students in the warm room answered only 6 questions. "More or less the temperature brought about a significant change in their behavior," Belkin said. The main purpose of our experiments was to find out the effect of temperature on human behavior and reactions. It has been observed that uncomfortable environment has a negative effect on human interaction.

Belkin added that the organization needs to take the necessary steps to give employees the opportunity to work in a safe and comfortable temperature and environment. But many organizations are not interested in spending money. So the authorities should be careful about this from now on.
