The Eiffel Tower (French: La Tour Eiffel) is a tall iron structure located in the city of Paris and is one of the most famous symbols of France. Built by Gustavo Eiffel, the 320-meter-high, 1,050-foot tower was the tallest tower in the world for 40 years from 189 AD. Gustavo designed the bridge for the Eiffel Railway, and he used that experience to build the tower. The tower was made up of 18,036 pieces of iron, paired with small and large structures of various shapes. 300 workers took part in the construction. [10]
