*Violet Evergarden Review*

Kyoto Animation, Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memories Doll, a film directed by Haruka Fujita and was released here In the Philippines this 11th of March 2020. From the TV series, Violet Evergarden is a war veteran and a said to be "weapon" given by Gilbert's brother. Gilbert Is a military general who took care of Violet but sadly passed away during the war leaving Violet his last words "I love you", words that led her to curiousity as an Auto Memory Doll finding out what these words truly meant and slowly being able to fathom emotions and finding new reasons to live.

Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memories Doll are divided into two parts, the first Is the story of a young heiress Issabella York, In an all-girls school populated by rich heiresses. Issabella York attends under a contract with her father and sold her future In exchange for protecting what Is precious to her, a young orphan girl she adapted, Taylor. Clinging to her past and grieving for her little sister Taylor, Violet Evergarden came as her tutor, alluring the ladies arou d her with her "knightly" demeanor and slowly getting close to Issabella but eventually left for her next assignment leaving Issabella and their bond. Although she said "If my client wishes so, I'll come running anywhere.

The second part of the story focuses on Taylor, a young orphan girl Issabella adapted. Through Violet's letter, Taylor formed a bond with Violet's coworker Benedict and decided to work at a postal office company.

The stories touch on societal problems such as classism and illiteracy, overcoming the impossible. Love and bond are being parted because of social statuses, how can letters reach a person's heart If they can't read? These problems are the film's most heartbreaking and tear jerking scenes. Though the world is injust, people are still able to find their own happiness and euphoria through expressing themselves In different ways.

Violet Evergarden Is definitely my favourite Kyoto Animation, not only It has such well-defined graphics but also an exquisite and aesthetic touch to each of Its stories. Every story It tells defines beauty, various emotions, feelings, love and bonds that can make anyone burst into tears. The letters Violet wrote can touch a person's heart making them feel various emotions such as happiness, joy and hope. That Is why I suggest and recommend this to the public and/or anyone to watch this lovely anime, anime watchers or not.
