The mythical creature 'vampire' has been famous and well-known since the early medieval era till today. Written by contemporary artists, described as Creature of the night or blood suckers with pale skin, red eyes, and large fangs. Thus, every myth or legend has a shred of truth which leads to develop the scientific explaination of this creature's existence and the possible model it's inspired from.

In the early metal age, the majority of humans weren't very familiar with science and where highly influenced by their culture and beliefs. Inflicted from fear, humans tend to see monstrous creatures upon the peculiar of things, nature or organisms ( a psychological phenomenon inherited from man's early ancestors, a fight or flight act to ward away from danger/for survival). Thus, Albinism is a perfect subject to match the vampire myth. It is a disease that results to having a congenital absence of pigmentation(melanin) in hairs, skin and eyes causing vulnerability to the sun and bright light. There are three plausible explanation to why Albino humans are befitting subjects that inspired the mythical creature Vampire. Firstly, Albino humans have pale skin unlike any other humans. Then, they also have transparent eyes, making the blood circulation from behind the eye visible resulting to their eye coloration which are mostly pink or bright red. Lastly, they are vulnerable from the sun as this condition increase the risk of skin cancer making them avoid the sun and direct contact with bright light.

Like contemporary writers have described, vampires have exquisitely pale skin, red eyes, and a unique yet familiar behaviour of them avoiding the sun or bright lights. Despite the fact that this mythical creature have fangs, these evidence suggest high compatability of both subjects making this theory plausible.

In addition, People in the primitive and early ages used to fear everything that looks weird and diffrent from the norm, and is 100 percent to be likely discriminating that different-looking person. One example of it is the discrimination that black people faced from living with the white people.

The appearance of albino people, as mentioned, have unnatural-looking white hair, and the same unnatural-looking complexion and eye colors, that they seem to stand out in every crowd if they choose to go outside. Now,About the fear of the unknown. Some people with authority will always seek to destroy everything they fear to make the majority feel superior.

And so it is also possible that majority of the people in the early ages, FEAR the existence of the albinos because of their appearance. It is common, to be viewed and treated as an object if you are different from the rest. And so the albinos are viewed as a monster.

The majority wants the albinos gone and disappear from existence, because they believe that albinos are dangerous. Weird. Monsters. But you can't murder or let alone banish a person if you don't have strong and enough facts and evidence to back it up. So some of them, the people who hates albinos to the very core, started spreading rumors upon thirsty ears.

They spread very untrue rumors and monstrous lies about albino people. That they are the monsters that we call vampires. They said that albinos are vampires that have red or almost violet glinting eyes capable of hypnotizing it's victims, that they have white hair that they use to attract unsuspecting humans, that they have retractable fangs they use to suck your blood dry. And that the reason they don't get out in the sun is because they are afraid of its burn.

And as expected from people who can stoop down as low as we can possibly be, the rumor spread like wildfire on dried forest leaves.

Now people wonder why albinos are very rare? Who knows...maybe most of them were already killed because of a worthless lie.
