Inspector Liaquat, the number one accused in the Baharchhara investigation center, was taken to the Teknaf Judicial Magistrate's Court in Cox's Bazar on Sunday afternoon.

After the statement, the investigating officer of the case, RAB Assistant Superintendent of Police Khairul Islam, said that the main accused in the case, Liaquat Ali, gave the statement on his own initiative. Liaquat has admitted many things during the RAB investigation. I hope he has also admitted these issues in the court.

Earlier on Friday, the three main accused in the case, former Teknaf Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Pradeep Kumar Das, former inspector in-charge of Baharchhara police investigation center Liaquat Ali and sub-inspector Nandadulal Rakshit, were remanded for three more days.

RAB senior assistant superintendent of police Khairul Islam, who is investigating the murder of Sinha's elder sister Sharmin Shahriar Ferdous, produced the accused in court and asked for a four-day remand. After the hearing, the court granted three days remand to each of the accused.

Defendant's lawyers applied for bail against the remand application, but after the hearing, the court rejected the application.
