According to the Law of Causality, everything is caused by something, and eventually have the hierarchy of causes and which lead us to the ultimate cause, which is God.
.
This is the heart of almost ALL cosmological arguments for the existence of God. The Law of Causality.
.
Here's the case,
If law of causality is true, then everything [except God] has a cause.
.
So it begs the question, If everything [except God] has a cause, does Freewill also abide the Law of Causality?
.
If positive, then we are not free after all since our actions have caused by something which, by Occam's Razor, leads to the ultimate cause, which is God.
.
If negative, then there are two ultimate causes, God and our Freewill. And the cosmological argument falls apart since we are free and our actions were uncaused by something else as much as God were uncaused.
.
So theists, choose your bet.
(a) Law of Causality and give up Freewill
(b) Freewill and give up the Law of Causality
