All praise is due to Allah.
Assalamu alaikum
Hope everybody is well. Today I have come before you with a short biography of Hazrat Hamza Ibn Abdul Muttalib, a fearless and valiant soldier of the Muslim world. I think it is very important for every Muslim to know about this. There is much to know and learn from the biography of this great disciple.
Hamza Ibn Abdul Muttalib (R): His names are Hamza, Abu Yala and Abu 'Ammara Kuniyat and Asadullah. He was the Prophet. Your uncle. Hazrat Hamza's mother Hala Bintu Uhaib Rasulullah. Mother is cousin of Hazrat Amina. Moreover, Hamza was the Prophet. Milk brother. Abu Lahab's maid, Suwaiba, made the two of them drink milk. At the age of the Prophet. The wait is four years older than the two years. From an early age he had a keen interest in swordsmanship, archery and wrestling. His boundless fascination was in travel and hunting. He spends a huge part of his life in this work. For some time now, the call to Tawheed has been preaching in the streets of Makkah. However, sepoys like Hamza did not pay much attention to this invitation.
One day he was returning from hunting. When he came near the mountain of Safa, a maid of Abdullah ibn Jud'an called him and gave him the news. Said: ‘Abu Ammara, ish, if you had come a while ago and seen your nephew’s condition a little! He was advising the people next to the Kaaba. Abu Jahl scolded him severely. But Muhammad returned helplessly without any reply. 'Hearing this, his soldier-like blood gushed. He hurried towards the Ka'bah. He used to stand for a while and talk to someone when he met someone on the way back from hunting. But today he became insane with the desire for revenge. Without flinching at anyone on the street, he went straight to the Ka'bah and struck Abu Jahl hard on the head with a bow. Abu Jahl's head was cut off. Seeing the situation strange, some people of Banu Makhzum came to the aid of Abu Jahl. They said, "Hamza, perhaps you have apostatized." Yes, I testify, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Everything he says is true. I swear by Allah I could not come back from it. If you are truthful, look at me with a little hindrance. 'Abu Jahl said to the writers who came forward with his help:' Leave Abu Ammar. By God, I slapped his nephew a while ago. '
Hazrat Hamza later said, "I said the words in a fit of rage; But I began to feel remorse for the apostasy of my ancestors and tribe. I could not sleep all night in a whirl of doubt and suspicion. When I came to the Ka'bah, I humbly supplicated to Allah, so that my heart would be opened to the truth, and doubts would be removed from my heart. After the prayer, my heart was filled with firm conviction. Then I saw the Prophet. I approached and described my condition. He prayed for the state of my heart.
It is about the hard times of the Muslims when the Prophet. Arkam Ibn Abil is secretly preaching Islam by taking refuge in Arkam's house. Muslims were then a handful of homeless people. In this situation, Hazrat Hamza's conversion to Islam suddenly took a different turn. The unreasonable excesses and recklessness of the disbelievers towards the believers stopped a lot. Because everyone in Makkah knew about his courage and heroism.
One day after the conversion of Hazrat Hamza Hazrat Umar. Rasulullah went to announce his conversion to Islam. Near He was then staying with some of the Companions in the house of Hazrat Arkam. Hazrat Hamza was also there then. Hazrat Umar was armed. Everyone present saw him and made a mistake. But Hazrat Hamza said: ‘Let him come. If he comes with good intentions, we will treat him well. Otherwise he will be killed with his sword. 'As soon as Hazrat Umar entered, he started reciting the Kalema Tawheed. Then the sky-wind became resounding with the sound of takbeer of the Muslims present. After the conversion of these two scholars to Islam, Islam became an irresistible force. The pagans of Mecca realized, Muhammad. Scratching will not be easy anymore.
During his stay in Makkah, the Prophet. Hamza established fraternity with his beloved servant Zayd ibn Haritha. His devotion and love for Zayd was so strong that whenever he went out, he would bequeath to him everything. In the thirteenth year of the Prophethood, Hazrat Hamza migrated to Medina along with many others. Here comes the real opportunity to express his God-given strength and courage.
In the seventh month of the Hijrah, the Prophet. Send a small force of thirty-member emigrants to the coast of the ‘Is’ region. The purpose is to observe the movements of the Quraish. There were no Ansars in this force. Here they met an army of three hundred cavalry in Mecca led by Abu Jahl on the coast. They were returning from Syria. But due to the efforts of Mazdi Ibn 'Amr Juhani, it was possible to avoid this journey. The two sides had a treaty with Mazdi. On the eve of the journey from Medina, the Prophet. Hazrat Hamza handed over the Islamic flag. Some historians, including Ibn Abdil Bar, think that this was the Prophet. The first flag handed over by a Muslim. (Siratu Ibn Hisham)
In the month of the second Hijri visit of the Prophet. He himself, with sixty armed companions, conducted the 'Abwa' expedition on the trade route of the Quraish. In this expedition also Hazrat Hamza was the flag bearer and he was in command of the whole army. The Quraish caravan crossed before the Muslim army arrived, so there was no clash. In the same way, Hazrat Hamza was honored as the flag bearer of the Muslim forces in the 'Ushaira' campaign of the second year of Hijri.
In the second year of the Hijri, the most important battle of Badr took place in the history of Islam. He took part in this war. After both sides were captured on the battlefield, Utbah, Shaiba and Walid of the Quraish side came out of the ranks and called on one of the Muslim forces to fight the conflict. Three Ansar jawans from among the sepoys of Deen responded to their call and proceeded. But Utbah exclaimed: ‘Muhammad, send people like us. We don't want to fight these unsuitable people. Rasulullah SA. He ordered: Hamza, Ali and Ubaida get up, go ahead. 'They were just waiting for the order. These three brave men stood in front of their opponents with their spears and spears. In the first attack, Hazrat Hamza sent Utbah to hell. Hazrat Ali also won over his opponent. But there was a long scuffle between Abu Ubaida and Walid. Then Abu Ubaidah, with the help of Ali, split him in two. Seeing this strange condition of the enemy, Tuaima ibn Adi came forward to help them. Ali in collaboration with Hamza. One of the blows of the sword knocked him down. Then the mushrik forces launched an all-out attack. The Muslim Mujahideen also jumped. A fierce battle ensued. In this battle, Hazrat Hamza placed ostrich feathers on his turban. That is why he was clearly visible in the direction he was going. Holding a sword in both hands with a thunderbolt, he was heroically destroying the strategy of the infidels. In this war, Allah and His Messenger. The enemies suffered a miserable defeat. Ibn Khalaf asked Hazrat Abdur Rahman Ibn 'Auf: Who is this man with ostrich feathers? When he said: The Prophet. Uncle Hamza, then he saidঃ ‘This is the man who has defeated us the most today.
On the outskirts of Medina was the settlement of the Jewish tribe of Banu Qainuka. Rasulullah SA. After coming to Medina, he made an alliance with them. But the victory of the Muslims in the battle of Badr ignited the flames of their violence. They became rebels. Due to the breach of the agreement of the Prophet. He conducted a military operation against them in the month of Shawwal of the second Hijri. Hazrat Hamza also acted as a flag bearer in this expedition.
The self-conceit of the Quraish was severely wounded by the tragic defeat of Badr. In the third year of the Hijra, a huge Quraish army, mad with vengeance, rushed towards Medina. The Messenger of God. With his companions, Uhud stopped them at the foot of the mountain. The battle began in the month of Shawwal. On behalf of the infidels, a brave sepoy named 'Siba' came forward and called for a war of attrition. Hazrat Hamza came to the field with a sword without a cell in his hand and let out a roar and said: O son of Umm Anmar's unclean water, have you come to fight against Allah and His Messenger? Saying this, he launched such a fierce attack that Siba's work was finished with a single blow. Then the omnipotence began. Hazrat Hamza's swift attack destroyed the strategy of the infidels. In this battle he killed thirty Kafir soldiers alone.
Since Hazrat Hamza killed the chosen leaders of the Quraish in the battle of Badr, all the Quraish were most eager to kill him. Wahshi, the assassin of Hazrat Hamza, later narrated the incident of killing Hamza at Uhud Maidan. Ibn Hisham mentions it in his Sirat. Wahshi said: ‘I was an Abyssinian slave of Zubair ibn Mutayim. In the battle of Badr, Zubair's uncle Tuaim ibn 'Adi was killed by Hamza. Back in Makkah, Zubayr said to me: If you can avenge the murder of my uncle by killing Muhammad's uncle Hamza, I will set you free. He gave me special training. I went to Uhud only to kill Hamza. The war began. I hid behind a rock and waited for Hamza. At one point, when he appeared near me, I suddenly attacked and killed him. Then I came back to my pro-soldiers and sat idle. I no longer participated in the war. Because, my purpose has been fulfilled. When I returned to Makkah, I was released from slavery. '
This tragic event took place in the middle of the month of Shawwal in the third Hijri. Hazrat Hamza was then around sixty years of age.
After the martyrdom of Hazrat Hamza, the Quraish women sang joyous songs. Abu Sufyan's wife Hinda Bintu Utbah made ornaments by cutting off Hamza's nose and ears, cut his chest and abdomen, took out his liver, chewed and spat. Hearing this, the Prophet. Asked, did he eat some of it? People said no. He said: Allah will not allow any part of Hamza's body to go to hell.
At the end of the war the burial of the martyrs began. The Prophet. Respected uncle came to the body. As Hinda distorted his nose and ears, he wept at the sight. He said: On the Day of Resurrection, Hamza will be the leader of Sayyidush Shuhada or all the martyrs. He added: May Allah's mercy be upon you. To my knowledge you were more aware of kinship, very virtuous. If I had not remembered Sapphira's grief and sorrow, I would have left you in such a way that the animals would have eaten you and Allah would have revived you from their bellies on the Day of Resurrection. By Allah, your revenge is obligatory on me. I will cut off the noses and ears of seventy of them like you and distort them. ' After the oath of office. The following two verses of Surah Nahl were revealed:
‘If you take revenge, you will do exactly as much injustice has been done to you. But if you persevere, that is better for the patient. Be patient Your patience will be with Allah. Do not grieve for them and do not be offended by their plots. '(Surah Nahl / 127-28)
After the revelation of the verse, the Prophet. He pays the expiation of the oath. (Tabaqat Ibn Saad)
Hazrat Safiyya was the brother of Hazrat Hamza. Hearing the news of Bhai's martyrdom, they ran to catch a glimpse of him. But the Prophet. He returned with some consolation without seeing him. Hazrat Safiyya sent two sheets for his brother's shroud. But another body was lying next to Hazrat Hamza without a shroud. So the sheets are divided between the two. Hazrat Khabbab Ibn Arat. "We did not find any other clothes to shroud Hamza except a sheet," he said. When he covered his feet with it, his head and when he covered his head, his legs were coming out. So we covered our heads with sheets and feet with ‘Izkhir’ grass. (Hayatus Sahaba - 1/136) Sayyidush Shuhada Hazrat Hamza was buried in the field of Uhud. Imam Bukhari has narrated from Hazrat Jabir, Rasulullah SA. Uhud buried two martyrs of the war in one grave. Hamza and Abdullah ibn Jahsh were buried in the same grave.
Ibn Hazar in his book Al-Isaba mentions in the source of Fawaid Abit Tahir that Hazrat Jabir Ra. He said: We wept for the martyrs of Uhud on the day when Muawiyah dug a well in Uhud. We got the martyrs in a completely fresh condition. When a person hit Hazrat Hamza's leg, blood gushed out.
Hazrat Hamza's killer Hazrat Wahshi Ra. After the conquest of Mecca, the Prophet accepted Islam. Appeared in service. Rasulullah SA. He asked: Are you Wahshi? He replied: Yes. ‘Did you kill Hamza?’ He replied: ‘What the Messenger of Allah has heard is true.’ He said: ‘Can you hide your face from me a little?’ He immediately went out and never again in the life of the Prophet. Did not face. Rasulullah sa. After the death of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique. During the caliphate, a campaign was launched against the false prophet Musailama. He also took part in the campaign to avenge the murder of Hazrat Hamza by killing Musailama. He succeeded. In this way, Allah benefits him more than He harms Islam.
Hazrat Hamza also had a poetic talent. After converting to Islam, he expressed his feelings through poetry. In the commentary of the chapter "Conversion of Hamzar to Islam" in Sirat Ibn Hisham, some parts of it have been quoted.
