Have you ever tried to eat pudding? Does it soft, creamy and yummy? Does it make you feel like your on fluffy clouds? Do you ever want to repeat that moment again?
Well get ready your pans and tools for cooking, 'cause I'm going to share a wonderful and delicious dessert you'll repeat to eat over and over again.
So let's start !
(Ingredients)
1/4 cup sugar (for caramel)
6 pieces slice bread/tasty
4 tbsp. custard powder
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
(Procedure)
1) In a pan, put in the sugar, spread it all over the pan by shaking it. Heat up the pan, then wait for it to caramelize the sugar. Try mixing it when it turns brown, then if it turns dark brown remove it from heat.
2) Once you removed the caramelized sugar from heat, immediately transfer it into a 6-inch round baking pan. Make sure to transfer all of it, then spread it evenly all over the baking pan and keep aside.
3) Cut the edges of the slice bread, cut it into small pieces and grind it very well then set aside.
4) In a small bowl put 4 tbsp. of custard powder and 1/cup of water. Mix it well.
5) Heat up the pan, pour in the milk and add 1/2 cup of sugar. Then wait for it to boil. Remember, cook the milk and sugar mixture in medium heat only. Once it's boiling add the dissolved custard powder and mix it by using an egg beater/whisker (not electric). Continue cooking it in medium heat, keep stirring. Once it thickens, turn down the heat to low.
6) Now add in the grind bread or perhaps I say soft bread crumbs. Add it gradually and mix it. After you finished putting all of the soft bread crumbs, transfer it to the round baking pan with caramelized sugar you set aside a while ago.
7) When you're done pouring the mixture hold the round baking pan and tap it up and down. Remember to use towel before you hold the round baking pan. Tapping it avoids the mixture to form bubbles.
8) Flatten the top of the mixture to make it even. Do this carefullly. Then cover it with foil, make sure to cover it properly.
9) In a deep pan, put some hot water into the pan then place a stand. Place your round baking pan over the stand and cover your deep pan with lid. This method is what we called steaming. Steam it for about 20-30 mins on medium flame/heat.
10) Bring it in room temperature then keep it in the fridge for atleast 2 hours.
11) After 2 hours, remove the foil you cover to the round baking pan, place a plate on top of the baking pan and turn it around. Remember to tap the bottom of the baking pan when you turn it upside down. Carefully lift the baking pan, this will help the pudding drop beautifully. Serve it and enjoy !
