Many of us believed and not about the urban legend and mythological creature here in Philippines.
Some of this story are still roaming from place to place and use to scare some mischievous child by parents and grandparents they always told "Hala ka may Mumu or Sige paghindi ka tumino kukunin ka ng Aswang"(there's a ghost or if you don't behave well aswang will get you)
This Urban Legends have many history or historical in many places here in Philippines like
Capiz - known for dwelling different kind of misterious entity (aswang and magkukulam) but this theory cannot confirm as true or false because of many story about this place or scary stories originated to scared children's
Mt. Makiling also the resident of Maria Makiling known as Diwata ( fairy ) who supervised the mountain, animals and giving some loss people help in mountain, it also known as enkanto's dwelling because the mistery of this mountain.
Balete Road (Balete Drive) is a two-lane undivided street and main thorougfare in the New Manila District, in Quezon City, Manila. The road is an undivided carriage way, that is, a road without median. The road is a major route of jeepneys and cabs, serving the New Manila area, connecting Eulogio Rodriguez Sr. Avenue and Nicanor Domingo Street in Quezon City. This road has many story and mistery because about the lining balete trees and white lady showing in the middle of the night that causes many accidents front in this road
Here some known mythology creature
Manananggal- Also known as wak wak. A known half human capable to flight and having long tongue and fingernails, love to eat fetus of pregnant woman.
Aswang - just like as human but they different, they can transform at midnight and love to eat fresh heart and meat either animals or human especially pregnant woman and child, they also have the ability to shape shift of different kind of animals,
Tiyanak- Also known Patay anak. Its a vampiric creature that resemble or copying baby or toddler to attracts it's victim or get some pity before attacking
Kapre- an enkanto or a Tree dweller. It's living in a big and old trees of balete or acacia. Love to smoke tobacco in their tree branch and attract people of its strong smell
Tikbalang - A half human and half horse, it's lurk in forest and love to prank travelers to loss track on their way. It has strong sexual urge to woman's and some people say you can control and subdue it when getting its golden hair.
White Lady - A spiritual entity of a dead woman. It always shown in places that have its negative or positive attachments, sometimes its asking for help or scaring people.
