The course between the rights of women and the struggle for “equality” for minorities has in general been merged. According to the feminist logic, the our cultural roots are of women repression by the patriarchate. The Feminist Movement understood that women were property of their fathers, husbands, brothers, or any who where the heads of the family. According to the cause, in that period, women were standing up to some extremely significant failings in that period: right to a political life, education, right to divorce and free access to the job market. As usual in this essay, the motivations for the creation of a PM little matter, and the object of study here is their structure, their capacity to achieve their goals and their level of influence.
The Feminist Movement was and continues to be one of the actions with the greatest amount of influence compared to the others.
In the last ten years a significant increase has been observed in the amount of women who denominated themselves as adepts of the action, which was incentivized and widely directed by Social Media’s algorithms such as in Facebook, Tumblr among others. This juxtaposed influenced young women to the path of sexual liberation and promiscuity, which led to its counter movement (even though some claim it isn’t a movement) MGTOW (Men Going Their Own Way).
“Men going their own way - is a declaration of self ownership, where the modern man preserves himself and protects its own sovereignty above all else. It’s the manifestation of a word: “No”. To expel dumb bigotry and cultural definitions of what a man is. Looking to no one else for social clues. Refusing to bend, serve and kneel for the opportunity of being treated like a dispensable utensil. And, living in accord with his own interests in a world that would prefer you not existing.”
This melancholic definition is utilized by the MGTOW’s own official website to demonstrate their acolyte's devotion in following an alternative path (as the movement’s symbol suggests) where the man is the protagonist of his own personal life goals, disowning the men who formulates their life plans expecting a feminine presence. Men going their own way is incoherent in some aspects which will not be explained and is not made by a consensus, which is used as an argument to say MGTOW is now a movement, but a lifestyle.
The influence of this movement has been growing rapidly with a boost from Youtube and internet forums. The main reason why this initiative is considered a PM is the fact that its adherents claim changes in the current political system which according to them, put up strict rules that harm men in issues like divorce and paternity. Any action which seeks to change laws is considered a cause which seeks changes in society and privileges, not mattering what those proponents of these ideologies say.
The efficiency of MGTOW consists only of the first moment of the members' interaction, when they are presented with a system who exempts all the blame from men, showing them a feminine social convention that works to make men under sexual and financial control. The failure of the movement consists in not being able to retain their mass of maneuver for a long time, serving only as an introduction for the redpilled, who make the influencing job much more objectively.
The RedPill*(RedPill is a reference to the 1999 Matrix movie, where the protagonist Neo is given the option to choose between a red pill and a blue pill, where the red pill would allow him to see reality as it is, making him understand everything that exists around him) Movement proposes to explain in a “scientific” manner what makes women attracted, offering a more dense internal logical vision which can influence negatively the social relations between men and women, for bringing up prepositions that can give the idea of an undeniable truth. In this initiative, it is also proposed that men utilize coping to not accept the reality about the social relations between men and women, lying to themselves to escape the facts. Those rejections are revealed as an unattractiveness of some men with a small sex appeal.
The movement, not yet political, makes use of biological expression in order to influence people into believing human instincts are animal-like and that they don’t have any connections with the social reality of financial situations, but exclusively with attraction to beauty. The main source of influence of this movement are videos and e-books which are freely available on the internet. The YouTube channel by the name of “FaceAndLMS” encompasses thousands of people each year to see the world in his extreme perspective. This movement has not made any political claim yet, nor has it sought any form of privilege, acting exclusively in an expositive manner. However, his content’s characteristics can affect social relations negatively, inciting sexual liberation objectives, like those proposed by progressives in feminist movements.
