So, we continue from the last article. If you haven't read the part 1, then you should check it out before reading this one because God will be speaking to you deliberately. So lets confine. We ended part 1 with a serious question and that is:
How do you discover your purpose in life?
The Bible says in Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV), “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not”. If you want to know or discover the purpose for your life, God said you should call upon him. Ask the Lord about yourself. He is the one who created you in this world. He knows everything about you more than anyone in the universe. He is the Alpha and Omega; the beginning and the end. He knows your beginning and your end. H e is the beginning and the end. Is God not mysterious? Hallelujah!!!
God has promised that when you ask Him through prayer, He would reveal to you hidden information and facts about your life. These facts are great and this is the reason why the devil thrives to ensure that you do not know your purpose in life. So many people commit suicide or quit in life because they don’t know their purpose for their existence. It is important to know this because it could form the basis for your encouragement in life. Ask the Lord about your life. Ask Him about your family. Ask Him about your education. Ask Him about your business or job. Ask Him about your health. Do not fail to inquire of the Lord. He knows every single detail about your life without prediction. God is the best being to ask about your life. In asking the Lord, it is important to pray persistently and consistently about it, study your Bible always, get involved in positively impactful activities either in the church or outside the church. It could be at work, school, in your community, in a workshop or conference, or you can volunteer for relevant positions. Get your hands stained with activities that you are enthusiastic about. It could be paid or unpaid, never mind. Keep doing it as long as it is a positive act and it justifies the life of a Christian.
Finally, the bible says in Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV), “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations”. These words were spoken to Jeremiah by God. God disclosed the mystery behind the existence. In fact, one mysterious thing God said to Jeremiah, which also applies to us, is that God knew Jeremiah before his mother was pregnant. Can you imagine such mystery? How can you know someone before the person was formed in the womb not to talk of before the person was born? Maybe you don’t understand. I will give an illustration. Could you have known your sibling(s) before your mum was pregnant? Even when your mum was pregnant, you could hardly tell how such sibling would look like? This tells you how great God is. God knows you. But remember that God did not end there in Jeremiah 1:5. He continued in verse 18 to 19.
Do you want to know more about yourself? Ask the Lord today and Watch God answer you.
Thanks for this inspiring words.
