I recently heard a story about a weird case about an animal lover.
Animal lovers, in addition to their good soul, know how to exaggerate to the extent that their love grows into a nightmare. So...listen to the story.
One man from California bought a young rat. The fate of that rat was to become lunch for his pet - the Indian python. But when he saw the little hairy animal constantly squealing praying for his own life, the man realized that he did not have the heart to do what he intended. He simply took pity on that rat.
He took the rat out of the python cage and decided to give him a life. The man decided to take care of that rat and as time went on they loved each other. He simply fell in love in these rodents, which he described as lovely and gentle animals and an immense source of entertainment.
Later, he bought four more rats, but it did not occur to him to castrate them. Then things got out of control. Neighbors began to complain that an unbearable stench was coming from his house.
A patrol from the Animal Control Department arrived at his address and found more than 1,300 rats in a small, one-room house. Can you imagine that scene. The floor was covered with a mixture of food scraps and rat feces, and everything - including the walls - was literally gnawed. Some rats were completely stuck in crowded cages. So crowded cages, that many animals were missing an eye or a limb. The others ran freely around the room. Terribly!
Man justified himself by saying that he was overwhelmed by some incredible natural force. He loved rodents so much that he bought them 120 pounds of food every week.
The fate of these rats was not the best, most of them were killed. Some because they were too sick or injured, and others because they were too wild to give them up for adoption.
The man is accused of cruelty to animals, but he was allowed to keep the seven cats he had. However, he was sentenced to the maximum sentence for this offense - one year in prison.
An obsession with something can cause a terrible mental disorder. Well my friends, be careful, there should be borders for everything in life.
