Construction accidents, cause and prevention. Construction accident. Cause and prevention One of the common problem in construction site and the most phrone in accident are : knowledge ,ignorance , lack of self control ,unsafe act, and lazyness. If we were talking about knowledge -, why is it a problem , a simple answer ,knowledge is power ,you don't have knowledge about what were you doing it will lead you to accident why ? A simple explanation it will lead you to accident , like for example if you are laborer , if you don't have knowledge on how and a proper position to carry an heavy baggage . It leads you to break your spinal cord that leads you to paralyzed and the worst is death. "Ignoraance" -some and most common accidents happened in construction site (example: ignorant person who's working on machine while using it lead him to accident like wound, broken bones , and death. " lack of Self control" - being lacked of self control leads you to accident or death. (Example: if a person doing or horse playing with you . It's because you lost self control ,you punched him or her and the worst if a person you punched with is lacking of self control also , it leads to ramble or riots on site. "Unsafe act" - this are the workers who always doing horseplay on work. This worker also have a hard headed person ,they didn't always follows the rules and they didint used the proper ppe. This worker always using shortcut. "Lazynies" -this are the people who were always gossiping, always murmuring, always avoiding worked. They were the one who's mindset is close ,and they were nothing a goal in life as long as they were time in and paid, but always prone to danger even though it's hazardous area they were avoiding cleaning and prone to danger of falling debris because of hiding. "Precautions and prevention" -proper ppe, awareness, self esteem , goal in life, cleanliness, obedience, patience, love of thier work, proper knowledge. "Proper ppe" -using proper ppe is the best way to prevent danger and accident,(gloves for the hands, long sleeve for the body, long pants for the legs , shoes for the feet, goggles 🥽 for the eyes, helmet for the head, and reflector for over all) by using and wearing ppe avoids 90% prevention of accidents in my opinion. "Awareness" - awareness this worker always using there 6 senses( sense of touch, sense of smell, sense taste, sense sight,. Sense of hearing specialty sense of mind) these worker always using thier presence of mind. 80% of accidents avoidable, in my own opinion. "Self esteem" - this people having a goal in life, focused on there job. "Goal in life" -this worker having goal in life and good mindset they always think that they arrived at worked complete and they want to go home complete. "Cleanliness" - cleanliness is the number 1 prevention of having accident on site, these factor affect the mindset of a worker it calm the heart and mind of a worker. 90% effeciency of productions. 95% of accident avoidable in my own opinion. "Obedience" -being obedient avoids the conflict of each worker. "Love of there work" -loving your work is one of the common factor of each worker to avoid conflict and and accidents happened on site. 85% effeciency of productions, 90% of accident avoidable in my own opinion. "Proper knowledge" - always remember knowledge is power. "Orientation" -orientation is commonly prepared before you worked , including the rules and prevention , and gives more tips for the job on what you were starting to do. Construction Worker I am one of the construction worker. Working in a day and sometimes at night My daily rate is just 600 per 8 hours . When I'm at the age of 14 I worked as a construction worker, why is it that I'm too young to work? "Simple answer poverty" I worked at the young age my daily rate is just 120 per 8 hours . Before 120 pesos is a big help for me not just for and for my family I used my salary to save it on my upcoming class . My parents is just a vendor and my father stoped working because of injury he have when he worked at gmall bajada davao city he fall from 3 floor to ground floor . There are lot of position in construction and what are these and their specialties? "LETS START AT THE BOTTOM" "LABORER or HELPER" - they were the one who tasked being a runner , a hauler , hard labor , mixing , cleaning and heavy duties but they were the one who have the smallest salary. "Masonry" - their task and specialty in filling hollow blocks , concreting, plastering , and edging . Their salary depend on their skills. "Tile setter" - their specialty is beautification of the flooring and c.r .. their specialty is tiles , bricks, marmle , toilet bowl , it depends on what the employer needs . Their salary is based on skills sometimes they where preferred on contracting. "Carpenter" - there are two types of carpenter .one is carpenter on housing and carpenter finisher. "Carpenter in housing is preferred laddered , formworks , and bridging. "Carpenter finisher is preferred on cabinet , Finished products , doors , design. Carpenter finisher is much more demand on furnitures and have much more salary. "Painter" -painter is demand in high rise building or housing .they are the one made the house much more beautiful and attractive. "Welder" -welder is in need on mechanical and industrial works , their specialty is based on metal to joint in like pipes for sprinkler, if there a building to build expect there's a welder to work. "Steel man" - there specialty is metal from word steel man meaning there's a metal involved. There are two types of steel man. Steel man installer and steel man fabricator "Steel man installer" is the one on in need in installing formbars in a building they are the one who will always on the verge of death they are the one always prone to danger first is heat stroke , falling, electrocution, and breaking their bones. "Steel man fabricator" is the one form a bars in the fabrication area thier job is under the roof but there a lot of accident during cutting the steel bars. "Roof installer" - they where assigned to installed the roof and downspout. "Pipe fitter" -they where assign on installing pipes for c.r . Water lines and pipe on down spout. " Electrician" -they were assign on wiring, circuit breaker,switch of light , receptacle.. wire lines . "Leadman" - leadman is assign to lead the worker on what they were doing . This job requires good moral character and patience. "Foreman" - foreman is assigned to assigned the worker on what has to be done. It is also assigned on whole plan on the building or housing or drainage to be build. " Time keeper" -assigned on time and salary to release. "Warehouseman" - is assigned on materials to be need . Materials request , release and received. " Driver and operator" - the on who delivered the materials. "Safety officer" -the one who secured the ppe of the workers. "Spy" -the one who gossip on the boss. "Enngeneer" - the one who manage the buildingor houses. "Architect" - the one who designed the house, building , and open canal. "Contractor" -the one who contract the building. P.S. please correct me if I'm wrong .next topic is most common accidents happened in construction sites. ‌I'm just a bigginer in writing . One-piece an old anime until recent. Im one of the 90's ever since when I was a child. I always loved watching this kind of anime even though it's an old fashioned untill recent I always watched it . I remembered in year 1997 , and the clock is ticking when the short arm pointed in 8:00 and the long one pointed in 12:00 ,it was filmed in the gma 7 I loved to watch it , even though my family didn't own a television to watch . That feeling that you were excited to watch ,one of my strategy is when i climed on a guava tree to peek on the window on one of my neighbor , to watched it , sometimes my neighbor closed their window ,their door , I must find. A way when the clock is ticking ,when the short arm pointed on 8: and long one pointed on 6 : 00 that I won't lose hope , but sometimes I lost hoped . I remembered when I first saw one-piece I remember everything on episode 1 when "Luffy and shanks" saw each other at that time "red haired shanks" is a "captain of red haired pirates" at that time when the bandits showed in the bar where luffy and Shanks saw each other. When shanks gave a bottle of liquor to bandits , then the bandits angered he throws it to shanks ,and even crazier he slashed the plates to made a mess on that bar . Just to let down shanks the pirate captain of red haired pirates , when the bandits disappeared on that bar shanks lough at it ,and they didn't noticed that luffy ate the gum.x fruit.
