First let's talk about what is depression?
Depression is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed.
there are several symptoms through which you can know if you have depression :
Feeling sad or having a depressed mood
Loss of interest or pleasure in activities once enjoyed
Changes in appetite — weight loss or gain unrelated to dieting
Trouble sleeping or sleeping too much
Loss of energy or increased fatigue
Increase in purposeless physical activity
Feeling worthless or guilty
Difficulty thinking, concentrating or making decisions
Thoughts of death or suicide
What to do if you are in depression?
Talk to one person about your feelings.
Most people when they are already in depression are really quiet and that is really wrong. Share your feelings with a person you love and trust. It will be much easier for you because he/she will understand you.
Remember all good thing which you used to do
This is example for people who want to give up from work,life,sport etc.
Just remember how good it was and why you even start to do it. Bring some good memories in your head.
Go outside
Don't stay in your room for 24/7 and do nothing. Call a friend and have fun :) .
Positive mindset
Find a light in a dark.
Meditate
A short practice for settling the mind, intended for doing in the middle of the day, wherever you are out in the world.
How to avoid depression?
Exercise regularly
It increases your body temperature, which can have a calming effect on the central nervous system.
Reduce stress
Just don't overthink about too much things. Everyone make mistakes in life.
Stay away from TOXIC people
Don't talk with a toxic people just ignore them even if they are your friends. Don't be scared you will find better friends because you are good person :) .
Get plenty of sleep
Sleep atleast for 7-8 hours.
Eat well
Recent research has shown that regularly consuming a high-fat diet can have similar effects as chronic stress in terms of causing depression. Find a balance in your meal.
