Bound electrons - electrons close to the nucleus that are strongly attracted to it

Conductor - a substance that allows electrons to flow through it easily

Current electricity - electricity created from the constant flow of electrons

Free electrons - electrons in the outermost energy level that have a weak attraction to the nucleus allowing them to move freely to other atoms

Insulator - a substance that does not allow electrons to flow through it easily

Static electricity - electricity created from the instantaneous transfer of electrons

Valence electrons - electrons in the outermost energy level of an atom
