Swimming in the Frigid Waters of Mahayag Resorts Today, in celebration of my older kid's birthday, we went once again to the Mabanag Spring Resort, located in Mahayag, (near Molave), Zamboanaga del Sur. OF COURSE the water was very cold, but not as freezing as the first time we went to Mabanag, and not nearly as cold as when we went to Eriberta Spring Resort in early March. Does the Philippines have "seasons" whereby it becomes warmer, (even hotter)? I wonder, because it sure would be nice to swim without losing feeling in my fingers. I'd even like to give Eriberta another try, because the pool there was really nice. Based on the website of the "Local Government Unit" (whatever the heck that is), of Mahayag, there are three swimming resorts there. We've only been to two of them, and they are both nice, although different. The first two pics are from Eriberta, or at least the part of Eriberta we went to. (Phase two, or something like that?) It seems newer than Mabanag, more upscale, and more like what a pool would be in the USA. The last three pics are from Mabanag. This place seems more "rustic" than Eriberta, which kinda adds to the fun. There are tiny fish swimming around in the big pool at Mabanag. Since we got there early today, soon after they opened, I was able to stand still in the big pool and wait for the fishes to swim up to me, and lightly nibble on my feet! That was not something you experience at an American public swimming pool
