Part 7 (Blood cancer โ™‹)

""Mum," I exclaimed as I hurried over to her, dropping my bag.๐Ÿ˜ณ

"Please help me, Mum, Mum, Mum Neighbors!" I screamed.

Fortunately, one of our neighbors came to our aid, and we were able to immediately transport my mother to a general hospital in his car. Throughout the ride, I was sobbing uncontrollably and quietly pleading with God to spare my mother.๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ญ

"I can't lose her yet, God, I don't have anybody else but my mother. It isn't time for her to go yet, please spare her."

Finally, we arrived at the hospital, and I carried my mother inside the facility while screaming "Emergency Emergency Emergency."

My mother was placed on a stretcher and escorted to a private ward.

""What happened to her?๐Ÿ’" enquired a nurse.

I take a closer look at her and note that she is dressed in nurse garb, with the name "Nurse Ola" on her badge, of I can guess that she was in her late 40s.

"I don't know, I discovered her in that situation," says the man. I responded.

"All right, am coming," she responded.

"Please don't let her die, I'm coming with you." "She's all I've got left." Tears fall down my cheeks as I clasp her hand.๐Ÿ˜ญ

"She'll be OK; the doctor is already on his way." Calm down and walk to reception, where you will be waiting until she's alright. "I'll give you a call," she said.

"

Where should I go?๐Ÿ˜ซ Please allow me in ma, I'm not going anywhere. My mother is battling for her life. She requires my assistance now more than ever. "I'm not going anywhere from here."๐Ÿ˜ž

She gave me a few seconds of her attention before saying something.

๐Ÿ˜”

"Well, I understand your current situation, and I recognize that your mother's health is at jeopardy, but instead of disputing with me, you should relax." Why don't you go to the reception desk and pray to God? We'll do our best, but all power belongs to God."๐Ÿ™‚

Her comments melted my heart๐Ÿ’œ, and it was then that I realized I have a father who answers prayers.

I have God on my side, but I can't do anything right now since it's too late.

Okay, mom, I'll go, but just let me know when the doctor is done with her ."๐Ÿ˜”

"All right, my kid," she said.

I turned around and took a few steps towards the front desk. Each one seemed like a decade to me; I couldn't find my feet, and it all seemed as if my spirit had left my body; I was simply a moving body without a spirit.๐Ÿ˜ž๐Ÿ˜ช

"Hey Godsent, how's she doing?" my next-door neighbor said as soon as I walked into the reception area.

"She is being looked after, she is in a serious condition, and all she needs now is our prayers," I said.

" Okay but I'll be right back; I have some office matters to deal " with "my next-door neighbor stated

"

"Thank you so much, sir," I said, "I truly appreciate that."

"Don't worry, she'll be alright," he replied as he walked away.๐Ÿ˜Š

I took a seat in an empty chair.

I was attempting to contain my feelings via tears, but it wasn't easy Shina, tears began to flow down my cheeks.

I knelt with my eyes closed since the only thing that can help now is prayers.

"God, promise me that you will never abandon me." Since the day I was born, you have been my father, and I am confident that you have always answered my prayers.๐Ÿ˜ž๐Ÿ˜”

Take a look at mother, Lord.

She is in a life-threatening situation and is struggling for her life.

I don't have anybody else but her, and it's far too soon for her to pass away."

"She hasn't even begun to reap the benefits of her efforts.

Please, Lord Jesus, return her back; she is in desperate need of your assistance right now."

I kept praying till I dozed off.๐Ÿ˜ช๐Ÿ˜ญ

Someone patted me on the shoulder and said, "My Child, My Child, Wake Up!"

I awoke quickly and spotted Nurse Ola standing by me.

"How is she doing?" "Is she awake? I hope nothing is wrong with her, and has the doctor finished with her?" I began bombarding her with questions.

she replied with a grin๐Ÿ˜Š

"Your mother is now stable, although she is not awake yet."

The doctor has also finished treating her; please come with me; he wants to see you.

"Thank you, Lord,"

I wiped my tears away immediately and followed her.

We passed through several corridors before arriving at an office.

knock knock knock

""Please come in," said a voice.

She invited me to come in with her once she opened the door.๐Ÿ’

"Sorry for bothering you sir, this is the woman's child," she explained.

"Thank you, nurse Ola, you may now take your leave."

"All right, sir," she said as she walked out of the office.

I could plainly see the doctor, who appeared to be in his late 50s and was busily examining some paperwork.๐Ÿ˜ฒ

"Please have a seat," he requested.

He introduced himself as "Doctor Mike" and extended his hand for a handshake.๐Ÿ˜Š

I answered, "Am Godsent," and shook his hand.

"Nice name," he said, "how old are you, and where is your father?"

I'm 18 years old, and my father has passed away; I just have my mother."

" Oh, I'm sorry, I think I'll have to inform you of your mother's health."๐Ÿ™‚

He took a breather before continuing.

"Thank God, your mother is OK now." She was in a terrible condition before, but God saved her. She is presently in a good place. "Have you observed anything concerning your health recently?" he inquired.

"Yes, sir, she does complain of bone aches, fatigue, and fever, but she feels fine when she takes the medications."๐Ÿฅบ

"Did she say anything to you about it?"

"Not at all, sir, except for what I indicated before."

"Okay, well, the results of the test that we took reveal that your mother has Chronic Leukemia," he explained.

"What the heck is chronic? ๐Ÿ˜ณSir, I'm not sure what you're talking about."

"Let me explain it to you.

A growth in the number of white blood cells in the body develops leukemia, a blood cancer.

White blood cells drive out the red blood cells and platelets that your body requires to be healthy; symptoms include weakness, fever, bone pain, vomiting, shortness of breath, and so on "he clarified

"Oh my God, my mother has blood cancer๐Ÿ˜”," I said.

"It is chronic lymphatic leukemia, regrettably.

It is now in the third stage.

Some can be treated while some can't " he answered

"Can my mother be treated๐Ÿ˜ฅ?" I inquired, terrified.

"Yes, she can be," he said.

I took a few moments to unwind before asking.

"Can you tell me how much the surgery will cost?"

"Because the surgery would not be performed in Nigeria, it will cost $170,000 US dollars. It would be carried out in India "he stated

"Wait, the naira is now at 333, which implies, Oh my God, #56,610,000 million naira"๐Ÿ˜ณ

He said, "Yes, Godsent."

"What???????" ๐Ÿ˜ณ

"where will I get that amount of money" I thought๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿ˜”
