The first day of bangla year is called Pahela Baishakh. This much expected day come once a year. According to our culture and traditiona, we have been celebrating this day for centuries. Moreover we celebrate the day to welcome Bangla year formally.We welcome the day singing "Esho he Baishakh esho esho...." The day is celebrated all over the country. The main attraction of the day states at Ramna Batamul in Dhaka. One this day rural people prepare special foods. The also arrange fairs at important places. One this day shopkeepers decorate their shops open Halkhata and offer sweets to their customers and clients. Urban people celebrate the day with much delight and interest. They eat Panta Bhat aon Hilsha Fish in the morning. They wear traditional clothes. Young boy wear panjabi and pajamas and young girl wear white sarees with red borders. The students of the Institute of find Arts of Dhaka University bring out colourful procession on Pahela Baishakh. Pahela Baishakh is a day of great joy and significant. It reminds us of our rich Bangla culrure and tradition.
