Given the plentiful number of ethnic groups scattered through the thousands of meetings that make up the country, we are also rich in myths, myths, and folklore that reflect our history and culture.

Sadly, our children are more familiar with Western stories. From pregnancy in the womb to our children's first years on earth, we sing and read to them. Why is it like this? Because it is easier to get a copy of these stories than the local stories and epics often found in old anthologies.

As technology advances and globalization enters, our children become more and more exposed to Western literature and culture. It is our responsibility as parents to introduce them to the wonderful world of our Filipino folklore and to share with them the stories we heard in our youth. We can at the same time discover the rich collections of folklore, mythology, and folklore of our country alongside our children.
