Dried Ashes

In a kingdom the intelligence of a teenager is notable. He was Catalino, who used to be called by his former Talents. That is his nickname and seems to fit his intelligence.

Catalino read. Their families were poor and Catalino's only concern was the abundance of books and miscellaneous books. He had no hobbies but to read after his activities.

Catalino helps his neighbors a lot. Because of the wealth of knowledge he has gained from reading, he has given them many good and wise counsels. He gives advice to villagers on farming, gardening and gardening, animal care, housekeeping, well-digging and poles, house moving, as well as treatment for chronic illnesses. That's why his parents love him so much. Even the villagers, whether near or far, knew Catalino and knew his intelligence well.

Catalino was summoned to the palace. In the presence of the counselors the king talked with him.

"I have heard of your knowledge. You are wise. You have done many wise things. You give people wise advice. Is this true?" asked the king.

"People say that. I'm not," Catalino replied. "And what I give their advice is not my own. I get it in my readings."

"Where do you get those skills?" king again.

"In the books and in the school of life," Catalino replied. The counselors groaned. It seems that the king already believed Catalino. The chief counselor whispered to the king.

"Catalino!" the king said aloud. "I have something to do with you. Do not disappoint me. It is bad for me to disobey," said the king. "Do you understand?"

"Yes, my dear King," Catalino replied. "To the best of my knowledge I will endeavor to obey your command."

Catalino waited for the king to order. One of the king's disciples read the law.

"Tomorrow morning, bring here the ashes. If you did not do so, you would be unintentionally wise and you would only fool people.

Catalino returned to their village. He thought about what the king had to do. His father and mother are very concerned. Her neighbors were also very worried. They could not help Catalino. They prayed that it would be done whatever the king asked.

The next morning, people woke up early. Many go to the square. There Catalino will give the king the ashes. Catalino carefully carried the sealed box. The cupboard was gently placed in front of the king. There is the molten ash.

The king was shocked. The king and his advisers did not think that Catalino could make the ashes.

"Dusty ashes!" the language of all.

Catalino respectfully bowed to the king. It has no pride or any trace of pride. That is humility. Catalino then diluted the hemp and then slowly burned it to ashes without removing it.

Because of this, the king took her as a palace counselor. Catalino gave the king good advice on how to govern the kingdom.
