The United States has been blaming Russia for a lot of things lately. From interfering with the 2016 presidential election to the poisoning of Russian spy Sergei Skripal( the funniest thing is even when their own spy was poisoned in England they still blame them ), it seems that US government officials are always pointing fingers at Moscow. But why does this happen so often?

Is there some secret reason behind it all? Well, not quite. Here's what you need to know about how and why Russia is constantly getting blamed by Washington.
US government officials all the time accuse Russia of interfering in their country's affairs as well as other countries. For example, some media sources claim that Russian hackers were responsible for Hillary Clinton's loss during the 2016 presidential elections and they also claim Russian apt group hacked several universities in the USA for the Covid-19 vaccine.
While this is just a small part of a much bigger story, so let's take a closer look at what really happened and why are US government officials blaming Moscow for it.
During the 2016 general election campaign, WikiLeaks published emails belonging to members of Hillary Clinton's campaign staff. Clinton accused Russia of hacking her emails and claimed that they did it on behalf of Donald Trump; however, former President Barack Obama also said that these attacks may have been executed by "somebody sitting on their bed who weighs 400 pounds."
In an interview, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that this allegation was a "humorless joke." Later on, in September of that year, US intelligence officials blamed Russia for the hacking attacks. In addition to that, former FBI Director Robert Mueller headed up the investigation into cyberattacks and alleged interference by Russia with the election.
With regards to the Covid-19 vaccine scandal, well I guess that will just be another story of Russia.
The USA has been always trying to blame every negative thing that happens around the world on Russia or whatever country they want as a scapegoat. That is why they just need an excuse to blame Russia for something, anything and that's what they always do.

So why does Washington do this?
One of the reasons can be found in US foreign policy as it has become an established fact that all kinds of American actions abroad are aimed at controlling global affairs and reducing the number of independent players in the world. In addition to that, another big reason behind Washington's constant blaming of Moscow comes from domestic politics since anti-Russia allegations seem to work really well in getting Americans to rally around their government.
And finally, by constantly blaming Russia, US officials give themselves a perfect excuse to get funds for their military budget (the more enemies they create the more money they will earn).
