Arsenal announced the signing of Brazilian defender Gabriel Magalhães from Lille in French League 1 today after weeks of contractual negotiation.
Here are five things to know about Gabriel Magalhães
Gabriel Magalhães moved to Lille from his native Brazil in 2017 at the age of 19 years to join the French division.
Gabriel's quality at the back includes his aerial prowess, Pace, and ball distribution from the back. The Brazilian was a mainstay in Lille team for the 2019/2020 campaign.
Magalhães can play at the left side of the center-back as well as back three comfortably.
The 22-year-old will be the fourth Brazilian in Arsenal first-team ahead of next season after the North London see retained the service of David Luiz, Gabriel Martinelli, and also singed Willian Borges from Chelsea on a free transfer.

He is a player we have been studying for a while and he was in demand from many clubs, so we are proud to have agreed and completed this transfer with Lille and the player.
