Football: England, four other nations now paying Male, Female national footballers equal pay
The most populous football nation, England leads again as one of the few countries in the world where both male and female footballers now get equal pay for representing their national team.
"The FA pays its women's players exactly the same as their male counterparts for representing England, both in terms of match fees and match bonuses." Says England FA.
England begins the equal pay decision for its national team players in January this year.
Other countries where male and female footballers enjoy equal pay for representing the national team are Australia, Norway, New Zealand, and Brazil.
Brazil announced that its female national team footballers will now enjoy equal pay with their male counterparts in every national assignment.
The announcement by Brazil is a welcome development that will go a long way in ending t agitation for equal pay by females from their national teams.
While I'm all for gender equality I don't think men an women should be paid equally because of it after all they don't generate the same amount of money
