Is Bangladesh a country or part of India

With the partition of India in 1947, it became the Pakistani provice of East Bangal (Iater renaned East Pakistan,Separted from the other four by I,100miles)(1800km)of Indian territory.In 1971 it became the independent country of Bangladesh, with it's Capital at Dhaka.
