Now the world will know pain!

Why is this simple phrase so epic in a scene from an animated series and so closely related to aspects of real life?

Let's explain, hope you enjoy this. ✏ (worth reading)

In this scene (https://prnt.sc/120erxm), the character you see floating there is called "Pain" . Right after a sentence which is: "Now the world will know pain", he destroys an entire village or equivalent to a city. Why?

This village, called "Konoha", has an ideal that has been shared with all its inhabitants since its birth "The will of fire", which is an apology for the peace of said village and its inhabitants, to support each other, grow and all that.

So ... why did this individual named "Pain" decide to destroy Konoha?

When Pain was a child, his small country was involved in a civil war between four great nations (3 other villages such as Konoha) he saw his mother and father being killed in front of his eyes by ninjas from this same village, causing from a very young age a great pain in him, and of course, dying thousands of people including children of his country for this and causing that the following seasons of this town were a total hell.

Pain (whose real name is Nagato by the way) grows and makes two friends in the same village, Amegakure (the village hidden in the rain) they form an alliance called "Akatsuki" (from its translation: Dawn) Akatsuki was in its beginnings , an organization that sought to end tyranny and oppression through peaceful means, basically its ideal was the much acclaimed "World Peace". Little by little, many people from different small countries joined his organization liking the noble ideal they carried, but this did not last long.

In order not to make it so long, during an expedition of said organization, a "politician" from Konoha, so to speak, decided to end this organization, causing one of Nagato's two childhood friends to die by his hands in order to prevent He and his other friend died.

Nagato went into anger and felt a deep hatred for this village mainly (Konoha) since, being the ideals of this village something pure, it did not fit in his head how some of its inhabitants could be so cold-blooded and murder without more and a and again to their loved ones.

"Akatsuki", changes targets, and becomes a criminal organization commanded by Nagato.

Well actually the goal is the same, peace, but with different methods, Nagato argues that the only way to achieve peace is to make everyone understand what "Pain" is. And here comes the great thing about it.

Nagato, realizing that, these great nations like Konoha, in their arrogance believed that by being united by the will of fire, their illusory peace and playing at being the best country or town, they did not notice the pain that they caused little by little in smaller countries, without military power, without how to defend themselves and overshadowing everything. His parents died at the hands of native Konoha ninjas, his best friend at the hands of the decision of a Konoha "politician", for no apparent reason, it is obvious what would grow in his being, hatred.

So, Nagato decides to destroy Konoha, but not before checking that his thoughts are accurate.

When he arrives, let's say that his first intention is to have a talk with which he would be the "President" of this town and to know his opinion and way of thinking.

Nagato or in this case, Pain, proposes to him to speak, to which Tsunade (The Hokage, I mean the president of Konoha) replies that he has no intention of speaking with a terrorist who intends to destroy what his ancestors had built.

(Remember that this is from an anime and yes, there are things like "powers" and so on, and Nagato curiously was one of the most powerful in this series, so he could literally destroy that Town or City anytime he wanted).

When Tsunade say what he said, it completely validates Nagato's thought, affirming his arrogance by completely ignoring the motives that Nagato or Pain has and above, validating that the achievements of his ancestors have been more important or worth. more than what he feels. Even though these "achievements" have had to lead wars and killings even children to achieve it.

For which Pain explodes in anger and destroys his village later announcing this phrase: "I will never forget Yahiko's (his friend's) pain, and now ... the world will know pain" and boom. Goodbye to Konoha village.

Now, how is this similar to what can happen in real life? Many must already know and have noticed.

History has shown us that there are people who, as long as they are well, others can care little. Mention Hitler, Stanlin, etc.

Man instinctively seeks his own benefit, while other countries are at war, famine, economic problems and others, others live quietly, carefree and sometimes even committing atrocities without any need.

As long as world leaders continue to be people who do not see for the people of the world more than being simple nationalists, this will continue to happen.
