For people who don't know what strike rate is,average number of runs scored by batsman per 100 balls faced.The higher someone's strike rate,the quickly he scores runs.
As far as strike rate of babar azam is concerned,his stike rate is about 127 which is not bad as he is not a serious hitter.When we see players like joe root and kane williasom have strike rates 126 and 125 respectively,then why does it matter for babar to be a power house.
Babar azam who averages at an astonishing 51 which quite brilliant.Only two players in the world have average above 50 and the other one virat kohli.
Babar azam's strike rate outside asia has been over 145 which is absolutely brilliant.
The role of babar azam in this pakistani team is to glue who holds together the innings which he has marvellously well in the past.
The reason he did not performed well in this t20i series against england was because he was trying to hit the ball way hard and was trying to become a slogger which is not his experties area. i hope that he will improve his strike rate with same batting style he has.
So,it is a bit harsh for people to say that he is a not a t20 player.
