Adrian was a driver working under Flash. Flash is a taxi company like Uber he had spent the whole day without getting a single customer. Just as he was about to give up and go home to call it a day, he got a notification on his phone that someone needed a lift. He became very ecstatic it was 11pm but he did not care.
The location he was called from was quite peculiar. It was an abandoned alley that no one used at night apart from drug addicts and burglars. When he arrived, he spotted a lady walking away from the car. It was her who called him. Adrian drove towards her and asked, " Did you need a lift?" She looked back at him and nodded. She entered the car.
The lady looked strange and confused. Her eyes were heavy as if she had not slept for days and she kept on scratching her neck. Adrian asked for her name, "Lyla is my name," she replied. He offered her a bottle of water and when she saw the bottle, she shrieked and jumped out of her seat.
"Ar...are you okay?" Adrian asked her as the bottle fell on the floor. "No no.. I'm fine. Sorry for startling you." She said as she positioned herself properly and continued scratching her neck. " weird.." he thought as he bent down to pick the bottle.
As he bent down. He saw something that scared him half to death but he did not make a sound. Her feet! They were facing backwards. That is when Adrian realised why Lyla freaked out when she saw the water. He knew that what was in his car with him was not a person but a Bhoot!
In ancient culture, a Bhoot is the spirit of a person who recently died. Their feet face backwards and they don't touch the ground because the ground was considered sacred. Adrian knew that he had to get her out of his car before she realised that she was dead.
He continued driving as he slowly opened the bottle of water. Lyla then opened the seat mirror and looked at her neck. It was covered with purple deep bruises and realised that she died. She let out a scream as her eyes turned pitch black showing rage and fury and launched herself towards Adrian. He almost lost control of the car as he poured water on her. The water burnt her skin as she vanished into thin air.
Adrian thinking that she was gone tried to gain composure as he swore never to work late at night. He adjusted the front mirror and looked through it just to see a pair of black eyes staring back at him.
