Animals to be afraid of!
Zoophobia is one of the most common phobias. People are afraid of some animals, even if they know they are not harming them. Of course, there are animals that it is normal, to some extent, to fear and avoid. But when this fear goes beyond normal, it turns into a phobia. Most people with zoophobia are afraid of animals such as lizards, frogs, snakes, spiders, beetles, etc. The causes of such a phobia can be many. However, most of them develop in childhood, when they witness an unpleasant experience with certain animals.
The most dangerous animals in the world.
Sea wasp
With a body of about 30 centimeters and tentacles that often reach 3 meters, this jellyfish is the largest of its family. On average, such a jellyfish has 60 tentacles, and each tentacle in turn has 500,000 needles through which the venom comes out. Once the victim is injected, she has about 2-5 minutes to live. Under these conditions, it is easy to understand why 40 people are killed by the sea wasp each year.
Freshwater snails
Snails carry parasitic worms that can infect people with a disease called schistosomiasis (or snail fever). Symptoms of the disease include abdominal pain and bleeding in secretions, depending on the area of the body affected. Schistosomiasis causes between 20,000 and 200,000 deaths annually.
Snake
Venomous snakes are responsible for 100,000 deaths annually, especially in developing countries. Unfortunately, there is a shortage of antivenom in the countries most often affected.
