Well, you are a new blogger and it takes some time to gain credibility and have a list of subscribers. You may notice some activity on the blogs social media handles, and some visitors to your website but it is not enough to generate a steady stream of visitors to your site.

With the exception of a few websites, a lot of blogs have been through this phase before they started doing well. In the initial days, weeks and months of the blog, it is important to create a healthy and optimized website. So, it becomes second nature as you post more content going forward.

Let’s take a look at 20 reasons why your blog is not getting visitors.

Yes, you have submitted your sitemap on the search engines, but have you checked to see all the pages on your website have been indexed? There is a good chance that your page has been de-indexed. If you think the quality of your content is poor, read articles from your competitors and see how you can rewrite it in your own words and add value to your readers. Improve the quality of your content and see how the traffic improves.

3. Too broad a niche.

You have not narrowed down a niche. You write about too many things in too many different fields. It is advised to narrow down a niche so your readers can know what to expect from your blog.

4. You do not post regularly.
This is something most bloggers are guilty of doing in the initial days of blogging.
