Poem about mountain air
The first feeling is terrible!
You think you're suffocating!
You don't think it's possible that you can breathe that much air!
You think your lungs are opening!
You literally don't know what hit you!
You think you are in a cloud of scent!
You are spinning on your axis!
You try to get some air,
but not,
lungs ask you to breathe deeply!
Then you let go.
You close your eyes.
Slow down your heart rate.
And you breathe, you breathe...
You breathe so hard but slow,
that you are starting to doze off!
And then the smell of pine,
the smell of fir,
the smell of resin,
and then the smell of cut grass.
Smells, smells, smells...
You think you are bathing in scents!
No, you are not in a perfume factory.
You are not even connected to artificial oxygen.
You are on a mountain.
At almost 2000m above sea level,
you are intoxicated by the scents of the mountains.
The mountain air intoxicates you!
